so if you are pay and go and pay £20 you get free web, free virgin calls and free texts, but if you are pay monthly you get a 600 mins a month, seems a bit unfair balanced to me
heat added anyway

I know it doesn't make sense, I think they should also give free web especially if you are paying £20 by direct debit.....

I think they are all good deals just depends what's needed. And for the internet you shouldn't spend more than £9 a month as it's 30p a day. Unless you get the pay as you go where by topping up £20 you get the unlimited internet too.

Virgins idea of unlimited net is 24meg a day. After that its set at a couple of quid per meg. I have used over 400 meg in the last two weeks - so at 30 meg per day - I could be owing them £10 to £20 quid PER DAY for what I have have gone over.

Additionally - Virgin are now charging for voicemail. and there is a 20p minimum call charge outwith your package.

Virgin recently had the U600 at £48 then rebadged it as being a special offer for £69.99.

I need to say COLD as there are too many charges that sneak in unless you know the conditions, and representing a price change from £48 to £70 as being an offer is just showing how happy they are to mislead.

My contract is less than that per month. Its claimed I get unlimited data, although some people have said its a gig - but I cannot find the amount anywhere in the terms, and the mobile comany's data counter never increments for data - only calls and texts seem to count (on three).

However, for my £17 a month (the cost after quidco) I also get a Nokia E71 which retails at well over £200, unlimited skype calls, 4000 texts. 2000 mins of calls to other three customers, free voicemail, and unlimited calls via skype, where for £4 plus VAT I can make unlimited calls to most european landlines.

Virgins £20 does not even include a basic mobile.
