'You'll need to act quickly if you want to take advantage of this offer as it is only likely to be around for a few days'

its called the MBNA Platinum Exclusive and is only available through moneysupermarket.com

Standard apr is low as well at 15.9%

i think its only for purchases of over £100 though, it says 6 months for all purchases under £100 but im not quiet sure

Seems good for purchases, bear in mind though that if you've already got a Virgin Money card to clear off an old balance transfer over their 16 month 0% period, you might find it a tad more difficult to get this as MBNA also issue the cards promoted by Virgin Money.
Just a heads up :)

Cold from me....MBNA have a track record of offering low interest rate Balance Transfers then hiking the rate when the 0% expires. They have pretty shady tactics.

Isn't this what ALL credit card providers do anyway?

It has. I transferred a balance so their was a few grand on the card that I took advantage of the 0% BT rate, shortly before the BT rate ended they hiked the APR on the card......its a well known tactic that they use same principle for 0% purchases....so you spend for months building a balance at 0% and at the end of it you will prob see a hike in the normal APR. Thats all I'm saying. Not about to get into a whole debate about it lol :)

Nope. I've had a few credit card for years that havent increased the APR at all. MBNA have increased theirs from 14.9% to 34.9% on all my MBNA cards as a results of the "economic climate" yet none of my other cards raised the APR. :)

Would not use MBNA if my life depended on it. I have just payed off my card because they are so bad i wanted nothing more to do with them. I pay my bills on the 1st of the month by standing order and always pay more than is needed so was surprised to see late payment charges. the reason...I payed my bills on the first of the month and they do not issue statements till the 2nd although it can be upto the 5th, and the due date is middle of the month. So they counted my payments as additional payments in the previous month and then as no payment was made between 4th and 20th charged fees. When i pointed out the fact that i had payed at the start of every month and always more than needed they agreed i was a good payer and still did not retract any fees, they also bumped up the APR and removed the deal I was on. Customer service was shocking. DO NOT USE MBNA
