For the same price I can buy an LG Television of similar size and spec, just lacking DVD player. DVD player of similar ability would only set me back about £25. I find myself asking which would I rather have; Excors or LG? For the sake of £25, LG wins in my mind.

But, you know, that's just me.

Yeah but an integrated DVD (espescially divx) is worth it
#3
Searched the forum but cant find a similar prices LG monitor, where have you seen this?

I would agree that if your primary requirement is an integrated DVD player, then this is a fairly good price, but for an obscure brand.

The DIVX enabled DVD Player I found for £25 on SVP is pretty small... maybe with the help of some double sided sticky tape, "here's one I made earlier", and a Blue Peter badge for your trouble you could go the DIY route??? ;-)

hehe, nice one wizball but i need one integrated as i havea small bedroom and need to fix it to the wall

No HDMI ? Seems strange to have DVD/DIVX yet no HDMI.

I take it the tuner is analogue.....anyone confirm?
#10
I guess no quidco on this either? Strange how google cant find any reference to this tv being mentioned anywhere except Excors own webpage and a link to the deal itself. Avforums comes up with nothing either. Is this a brand new tv?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm............might be worth it then. Pity it doesn't have a digital tuner and usb for DIVX.

This is my first post so hi to all :) I've just checked out the spec and i think you guys are looking at the wrong model. This is the EM-2768SD, NOT the ES-2768SBD.

Here's the spec....
http://www.excors.com/cms/index.php?tab_id=tech&page=2&category_id=102&catpath=0_52_106_102&product_id=5386&path=0_2

It doesnt appear to have hdmi :-(

Hope this helps out......... and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong!

The thing is ASDA are selling the PS3 for £350 at the moment and I need another HD TV to play it on and hey.........why not have a 2 HDMI and digital tuner too:p

carlnewman you are wrong i'm afraid, you are looking at the specs for a LCD monitor, whilst this is a LCD TV, so the HDMI is true.
#24
nickmax1 go to the deal and read the description.... it says "That's how the new EXCORS LCD-Monitor EM-2768SD introduces itself."
Note the use of the word "monitor".
Check the model numbers on the EXCORS website and i think you'll find that this is the "monitor" model without hdmi, although it can still be used as a tv!
The model you are looking at is the EM-2768SBD.....which has Hdmi...

But i could be wrong!!!!! Just dont want anybody to buy it thinking it has Hdmi if it doesnt?

Carlnewman I think you may be right looking at it again, it247 are really confusing matters by throwing in different model numbers and descriptions! Still, I want it to play my simpsons/family guy eps I have on divx DVDs, so not bothered about hdmi....very tempted. Just wish someone could comment on general performance of the TV!!
#26

#27

When youve got kids that are addicted to cbeebies and stuff you'll understand ;-)

Great, another online retailer that refuses to ship to n.ireland, should be a law against this!
#31
Sorry Bully, guess you have to move!!

As for the other comment i.r.o kids and ceebeebies, surely its better to have downloaded content for them to look at rather than that trash they watch on telly in the morning with all sorts of sexual innuendo and presentors high on crack cocaine all day long?

ROFL... damn that must be why i have become addicted !! Cant wait for that familiar sound of Teletubbies and Balamorey every morning. So are you telling me that Josie Jump is some two bit crack w***e that spends her part time working the streets of the glen ?? Next you'll be telling me PC Plum does more
with his truncheon after hours than it lets on. Then again all this talk about jumps and plums.... you may have a point !
