Only for a fan of the club, but still a Hot Deal.

I'd have been tempted (I'm at Uni of Nottingham) and I'm not a fan but alas, I'm on holiday for all of April...

Meeting a bunch of Notts County footballers ... they should be paying me!!

Jokes aside, very good deal :)

You can get cheap student tickets with Forest, I'd go and watch them instead. Sure you don't get free tea and coffee, but hey.

Does anyone know any names of anyone who plays for them?

Yes every single one and most of the youth team too. The football is shockingly bad at the moment though! :(

If you like football I think this would be a good deal even if you don't support the teams. Good experience!

For all the sarcasm would I be right in assuming they got further than Liverpool and some other premiership outfits in the FA cup?

Agreed, its a shame really, just hope that they give Ince some time... he needs the close season to sort the team to how he wants it...

Just the fact people are slagging off the team/deal, can't be all that bad for the money.

Yes we will see. I normally sit in the kop, looking at the deal it normally includes parking and meal in Wheelers suite. So guessing it's a mealbarrow meal in the 1862 and no parking and no mention of a pint. Well a DP ticket is £23 and mealbarrow meal with pint is £10, but without a pint it's only about a £8 saving in my mind.
#22
As an Oldham fan it'll cost me £20 to watch the game anyway. If I could face sitting with the county fans Id be tempted, if only to be fed for £2

Good deal

I would love to take up this offer but I'm working. Sphincter twitching times at the Lane. Good luck to the Original Mags.

Last 3 home matches? I think they might have forgotten they are playing the soon-to-be League One Champions on the last day of the season at their place!

Guys, for a true football fan you would be visiting the home of the oldest football league team. This is a great day out for the purest. Sorry to be a stick in the mud but as Konimitsu says other clubs, including my own, should do offers like this for their own paying fans every now and then.

Remember trying to get a ticket for the FA Cup against Man City. Terrible Box Office wouldn't answer the phone at all. Kept leaving messages. As I'm based in Notts asked some Notts season ticket holders could they obtain tickets, they couldn't get any themselves.

Cleverly they started selling the tickets at 5pm on a Matchday Saturday, resulting in everyone of their real fans who were in the ground being unable to get a ticket, as there was already a massive queue when the game ended.

Might be the oldest club, but a joke ticket office, a joke team employing a hit and run murderer and an awful ground in a terrible area, they don't deserve your custom, your money, or to exist as a football league team !

With your last statement I wonder why you wanted tickets as your not much of a fan!

All season ticket holders had pre access to tickets for the FA cup match and had several days to buy tickets before they went on general sale. All fans were advised to buy tickets at the ticket office and due to the amount of staff were unlikely to be able to take telephone bookings.

Northerndave. phones where not being picked up because of a massive que of fans, I'm sure if you where queing you would not expect the ticketing staff to pick up the phone and then stare blankly at you for 5 minutes!

I'm a season ticket holder and went down on the Tuesday after work, no problems then :)

I do agree to some extent that the ticketing could be better, but this was a one off really, Notts do not get that many through the gate regularly so it was unlikely to go perfectly from the word go.

Your closing statement though shows you to be as much as a Notts fan as I am from mars.

Well I am a fan, just not a Notts fan, a Man City fan - lol

I've watched them a few times since working in Notts, as I've also watched Forest too and neither set-up thrills me, Forest with their crazy prices and County with a complete cabbage-patch pitch and disregard for their own supporters. Small town teams continually making losses year after year should be just allowed to fail and the league shrink to an economically viable model.

Anyway, I agree the deal is tepid, if not warmish, but not for me

Well you should have got your tickets from Man city then!

Did you watch the Huddersfield game today, their pitch wasn't much better either!

Teams making losses year on year...........Yes 86 league clubs out of the 92 last season and that didn't include a single premiership club!

I'm sorry, but you have to keep in mind that this club is used to dealing with around 8000 max fans and they were dealing with an 18000 ticket sales with extremely high demand... I know season ticket holders were given a couple of days in advance of general sale to buy tickets, then they were made available to lifeline members for a couple of days, and then they went on general sale after a game... Unfortunately, wherever demand exceeds supply you will struggle to get a ticket wherever the game.

Also, Notts County are doing all they can to break even and make money, hence letting the rugby club playat the Lane in order to increase revenue... Also, I guess you were highly embarrassed when lowly Notts County came within 10 minutes of knocking you out of the cup!! Oh, and by the way, Man City lost £123 million in 2010, and they lost £100 million the year before... Hardly economical viable!!

Mike Edwards...Used to be my teams longest serving current player, now I believe he's Notts County's.

(Obviously not "All TIme" longest serving) ;)

What, just because you didn't get a ticket, the team should cease to exist ?
