Contract for my mobile was up today and phoned Orange to ' negotiate' a deal for a new iphone4.
I was told they are currently doing a deal where they offer the 32GB iphone4 for the same price of the 16GB !
As I was upgrading I got the £35pm tariff after my loyalty discount of 10% for £31.50.Phone cost £229. 18 month contract, 400 mins, 500 texts , 750Mb data.
I asked if the 32GB for the price of 16GB was on all tariffs and she confirmed it was. Only works when you phone Orange to upgrade though (150 from Orange mobile).

How long is your new contract?

18 Months or 24?
18 Month contract.

Should be £35 per month and £229 for 16GB phone, 400 mins 500 texts and 750MB data.
Got it for £31.50 per month and £229 for 32GB phone , saving £90 for the phone.
strange...they wouldn't give me any loyalty discount despite being with them for 6 years and only a 24 month contract?!? not sure what is going on!!
I am with them 6 years as well, if go into your account online and there is an option under loyalty offers for 10% discount if you upgrade or renew your contract.
The 32GB for 16GB price only started Saturday according to the girl on the phone.
You can get better phone for this price and shorter contract.
well they where really good to me i get 2500 mins 2500 texts , unlimeted internet, free dongle with 3 hours a night surfing for £20 a month . I have been with orange 4 years
As I say, been with Orange 6 years, since iphone4 came out I wanted to upgrade but contract only expired today.
I was well chuffed with getting what I wanted for less that I thought and getting 32GB for the price of 16GB, just thought I would share in case anyone else was in the same situation.
Interesting my contracts not up til begining of next year... although i only pay £15 a month which i negotiated too after about 6 years of orange contract also... i guess they would want to bump me up to some £30+ a month contract again!!
£229 + £567 (£31.50 x 18) = £796

So £800 for a phone tht il prob use for just calling and texting mostly - not bad!

the alternatives for £800:
pay off two months mortgage, book a two week holiday to the carribean, pay car insurance for the year, pay off a fifth of my student loans, flag my garden, get a new plasma TV and Blu ray player, pay off the leccy and gas bill over next 6 months or pay off my counicl tax for next 10 months

deffinately a case of money over sense

so think il give this a miss !
Well friday is my deal day... been with Orange for over 10 year - have 12 magic number & Free Unlimited Home Broadband in a non LLU area, live box and free second line including calls..... Raccoon 25 + 300 extra mins for £15 a month already......

I doubt I will be getting anything special this time round, the Internet must cost Orange more than I pay per month!!!

Great deal - will see what they say to me on friday!
anon6, I also get free broadband with the deal and have done so for the last 6 years hence sticking wirh Orange, The £100 quid i get for my HTC Hero will ease the cost !

Oh to have a mortgage that's £400 month ! :D

If your not spending £30 pm + 200 on a phone contract then im sure 90% of us will find something else just as meaningless to footer our money away!
