Worth looking at the expansys forum regarding this device...

Agree , this is a good deal for a great phone . I got the same e-mail as I buy from Expansys and noticed the model . Would have been interested but I already own the Ubiquio 401 & 501. Excellent phones ,but I use the 501 the most with it's qwerty keyboard .I have TomTom on them both and have had no problems with them .
Good Deal !

I got the email as well - I agree great deal. Personally I prefer the looks of the 501 (no 3G but has WiFi) and it seems that is down to £99 inc VAT tomorrow between 11am-4pm as well: http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=174339&partner=uknews. I'm going for the 503G though as it includes 3G.

Check your Credit card bill carefully if you buy it.
Expansys like to EXPAND the price without telling you :-(

Very mixed views around on this phone. If anyone is thinking about it and wants to look into it more have a look at the thread from the last time expansys had it on offer. I posted a link in that thread to a users' forum for the phone and there is a link to a review - both worth a read.

What makes you say that? I've used them several times without any problems - and yours is the first mention Ive seen on problems with over billing. Care to EXPAND?

I have on other threads. (It would be good if the search worked) :-(

Invoice price & credit card price totally different, without so much as an email. First I knew of it was when I opened the carton. it has happened to others on this site too who have mentioned it also.
If I had been contacted, I would have cancelled the order

I wont' be using them again.

They overcharged me by £10 recently when I bought the Sling Media player . They forgot (so they said) to take off the voucher value of £10 of my total but it was refunded the same day.I wonder how many people didnt check there account and got overcharged.

"Expansys like to EXPAND the price without telling you"

News to me . I've bought loads of stuff from Expansys .......................phones ,GPS receiver ,leather phone cases etc and never had a problem.

I got one of these a few weeks ago & recommend it. It can be quite fussy about which brand of 8GB micro SDHC cards it takes though.

They had the same fone on similar deal a few weeks ago but at £99. Was tempted but the long list of bugs and problems and massive lack of support according to the forums put me off. I noticed at the time before the last deal they did on this fone they had +100 in stock a week before and on the deal day and a week after still had +100 instock.

Seems to me they have lot of this model in stock and are having problems shifting it, i would have expected the price to have come down since last time, so cant understand why their deal price has went up by £10. I think it is a bit deceiving really, not worth the 229 price stated, may be worth 99.

I think one of the reasons why people are put off is the fact .......not many have heard the name Ubiquio . Ask around and most people say WHAT ! . Do a search ........I have and theres not much information about these things .It never put me off though .I have 2 and there great phones . Theres lots of software for them to being WM devices ........wi-fi scanners ,photo viewers ,TomTom ,and lots more . I've set up e-mail on mine and with my BT gps and TT it's quite a setup .I only paid £72 for mine new from ebay but would have paid more knowing what good phones they are .

This is the WORST PHONE I HAVE EVER USED.

I reviewed it for a mobile tech site, had it 2 weeks, and I've never had such a buggy piece of utter rubbish. The keys don't work properly, the device crashes constantly and it is unworkable as a phone, PDA, or lump of ****.

Avoid like the effing plague. I can't explain in words how utterly dreadful this device is.
