Yeah, I'm getting that too so this isn't a deal. You ordered 5 thus should be charged for three, not all 5.

valid from tomorrow guys

Its £1 till tomorrow, then BOGOF from tomorrow when the price will more than likely be back up to £2.50
#6
It does, my total is -£4.00 so you'd need to order other stuff too as it won't check out with a -amount

Doesn't work

you have to book your delivery to be tomorrow or after for it to show! have just ordered with my shopping due tomorrow but does anyone know if the price goes up to £2.50 (as we expect) will we have to pay that as there is nothing on the website to show the price going up? how does it stand?
#13
great bargain thanks
#14
Hang on - just worked it out - you need to reserve a delivery slot for tomorrow or later for the BOGOF to kick in
#15
yea... i think it works.
You've to checkout to see it.
#16
Chances are though as it is a guide price the eggs will be £2.50 each not £1
#17
Even if you do order & get charged £2.50 for 3, then use the Tesco DTD pricecheck & you will get £3 back per egg because it does it before offers? (I think)
If so, only order the eggs that are £1 at Asda

But Tesco charge you the shelf price at the time of delivery, not as you order online. So afraid you'll end up paying far more for a couple of inches round your middle.

I've got until 8.29 tomorrow morning to see if the price changes - if it does I'll cancel. If it doesn't I've got 45 easter eggs, 16 cans of Magners and 40 cans of Stella getting delivered for £21 incl delivery.

yep just about to say this

Tesco will charge price of dispatch date, not on order date so this glitch will not work

Just what I was going to say - its your shopping that's scanned on the day that counts. They've diddled me a few times with stuff that was cheap one day but full price next day and no indication of saying it would be full price - they just charge you what the price is on day of picking.

oO....you joking , right ?...............if not how the hell you get all that for that price ?
#23
yes but what about pricecheck im sure they will still be £1 in most places still
#24
I was also thinking wouldnt this be "loss of bargain". The price states £1 and it says its bog2f as of tomorrow. If nothing else this would be misleading surely?

Just read T&Cs

1. Prices
Please note that the prices on our Grocery website are guide prices only based on the price charged today. The actual price you pay will be the price charged in store at the time your order is picked for delivery.

All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated. The price of the items does not include the service charge, which will be charged at the rate applicable for the date and time of your delivery.

When your order is delivered you may return any item and receive a full refund if you consider that the difference between the price charged and the guide price shown on the Grocery website is unacceptable.

therefore we can return them all for a refund.

Once again though would pricecheck not work?

The problem with the price check is that it takes 36 hours to validate by then it could be tricky to take 60+ eggs back to the store...!!

Added more eggs so that it's just £2 + £3 delivery for 77 items..!!

It will never work but it's given us a laugh in work!

If we check our orders tomorrow and the price has gone up, can we cancel the whole lot does anyone know? What I can't get my head around is why the offer is taking the amount into negative figures!

yes you can cancel the order before it gets delivered. As long as you do it before the cut off time detailed on your order page.

The reason you get a negative amount is that the promotion is set up for 3 for 1 at the price of £2.50. Therefore for every 3 eggs you buy the system credits you £5 (for the 2 free eggs). As the site currently shows the cost as £1 per egg then you end up with £2 credit per 3 eggs ordered.

Hope this helps a little.
#31
It's taking you into negative figures because for each set of 3 it's taking off 2 x £2.50 rather than 2 x £1, so each set is £3 - £5 = £-2. To me that's just more evidence that they expect to put the price back up...
#32
Ah I see.. thanks guys. So if the price is still £1 tomorrow morning, then orders should be ok? What happens if the price goes up somewhere between the cut off time and delivery time?!
So frustrating not knowing what it'll cost.

You can still refuse the order when it arrives at your door. They always give you your invoice which will show the price. Just tell the delivery person to take it all back. They will do it no questions asked. Just don't let them unload it all from the van before you check. They will still take it back but they will hate you for having to load it all back up and will drive over your daffodils as they leave your house.

Good luck farmergiles,i hope you get them all! Though if you do you'll still be giving them away as xmas presents!!

Even if you return them, you'll still be charged for delivery.

Fingers crossed they come through at £1 each, if not I had to get the school PTA ones for the easter raffles, and they were willing to pay £2.50 for 3 :)
