This is the Asus version of this card...basically lightly overclocked and with a custom copper cooling system to provide ~20% better cooling.
There are plenty of very favourable reviews of this card online and it seems to be the best of the bunch at this price point.
I don't know anything about Digital Fusion but their online ratings looks pretty good, I'll find out soon enough as I ordered one yesterday. That price includes delivery in 3-4 working days and payment by debit card, quicker delivery and credit card (2% surcharge) cost more.
If you prefer Ballicom and Kikatek are doing the same card at ~£106 delivered.
At LambdaTek its £104 delivered ( or £96.92 collected with debit card discount).

Added to description.

I thought Digital Fusion is a dubious company based in Hong Kong? Get it from a more reputable retailer!
#7
i have 2 of these in sli good cards nice and quiet make sure you do not use new drivers though as you will get stuttering.
#8
@balluji After looking at their reviews on Ciao, a lot of people had no problems and some people hated them.

I don't intend to order from them again, but I hope I'm one of the ones with no problems.

Just ordered this card, great price, although for me it came to £103.15 total.

Good price.

The new ATI cards are released today, and value for money wise they're awesome!
6970 for £275 and 6950 for around £220, will no doubt drop further too
A lot of review sites have been using the old drivers when benchmarking, in reality the 6970 is between the 580 and 570, and the 6950 around the 570 level.

Review for new cards here:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-6970-radeon-hd-6950-cayman,2818.html

GTX 570 is on par with new 6970. GTX 580 is fastest single card.
2 x GTX 460 is slightly faster than single GTX 580

Well...I ordered mine yesterday morning and I've just got back from the front door with it in my hands exactly as advertised...can't say fairer than that although as always YMMV. Shipping address is indeed as previous post (Bolton nr Manchester).

Judging by the reviews on Ciao, when they get it right the shipping is quick, and no problems, but when they get it wrong they're hell to deal with.

YMMV?
#15
YMMV Literally means "Your mileage may vary" but is often used in forum talk meaning that your results will vary.

Is there a GPU hierarchy chart anywhere with all these newly released cards?

This is quite a good page with most cards covered:
http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php
Enter your card name and it displays the result in a funky colour chart.

So far so good with testing my card, quiet and a very cool 26C at idle...heats up and gets noisier when under full load (with furmark) but quickly evened out at 50C with the fan set to come on at 50% at that temp.
All with the case side off though...so I could keep an eye on things.

Anyone with one of these let me know how quiet it is, the dual fan gigabyte one is supposed to be whisper quiet would love to know how this compares. I.e. could you hear it while watching TV?
#24
At idle its quiet, you definitely can't hear it over even a quiet TV.
I've hooked up mine to a 32" LCD TV and played a DVD and its fine.
I used Afterburner to lower the fan speed to 25% and the card still idles at 28C with the case closed.
Load it up though with some heavy weight game and the fan does speed up and the noise increases but its what you expect from any of this genre of card.
#25
my old GTX260 just gave up the ghost so i've snapped up a pair of these for some SLI shenanigans..

for the price can't go wrong!
#26
GTX 460 sli faster than a 6950 (generally) I think, power consumption may be an issue
433w (GTX460) vs 331w (6950)

source
GTX 460 sli

6950 power

note :these figures are for overall system power consumption

Very good card especially for this money, i've got mine OCd to 900/1800/1960 and it could still be pushed a bit further (but i like to keep fan speeds down)

Heat is most definitely not an issue with this card, i kept pushing it and it still got nowhere near temperatures where i would start to worry.

looks a good price :D

Thanks! My current GT240 is a massive bottleneck and IMO really noisy!

Great deal. I spent £10 more just a couple of days ago.

Funnily enough the maximum temp for the GPU is 104c, lol

Obviously I wouldn't run it that hot!

For those concerned about noise, I would say this is very quiet but mine had an annoying high pitch noise, I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere so I think it might just be a rare occurrence. It was not cap hum, it came from the fan itself. I took the fan casing and fan off and strapped a 120mm fan to the heatsink and it now runs even cooler and quieter. Bit of a hassle having to do it though.

Hugely overclockable at stock volts and even if you undervolt. I am running at 800/1940 at .9mv, stock volts are .95mv.

It's just ridiculously good for the money.

Just thought I should pop back in and say that I ordered from this website the day before yesterday and it arrived this morning, in perfect condition (They shipped it in a huge box).

I haven't got all the components for my new PC together yet, so I have yet to test it.
#33
Digital Fusion seem to get pretty good feedback overall when you take into consideration that near everyone who has a bad experience will complain while those who have a good experience almost never bother to leave a good review.
I would use them again, definitely.
#34
Did anyone get a confirmation e-mail when they ordered?

I've not heard anything from them yet and notice the item is now sold out.. hope they got my order though

(will phone them when they open).

This card was available at CBC Computers for 97 including delivery for a couple of hours, was going to post here, but is now out of stock, price is now showing as £98.69, so for those still interested, it could be an idea to bookmark the page at CBC and keep checking back for stock updates.

just recently had my 9800gx2 die for the second time im running an old 8600gt atm but looking to add something this a suitable replacement?

i was thinkning of adding a second 8600gt and running SLI but not sure how much improvement i'd get i do however have a budget of 100 quid for a new card any suggestion? or advice?

I am still getting by on a workhorse 8800gtx - it's bomb proof but starting to really struggle in games (especially due to my old dell monitor which has a native resolution of 1920x1200...). Generally you'll get more performance for the cash by buying a newer card architecture, as they tend to be much more powerful than older high end cards. Try looking at the cards in various benchmarks and see what you think.:)
