The HP Pavilion DV6330ea was originally £599 on the HP website no more than 2 weeks ago, it is being sold for around that price in computer shops as well.

However HP have knocked off £100 on their website and if you sign up to the newsletter they will also give you a code to take £40 off your order, making it £459.

Plus until the end of this month HP are also doing free delivery!

Not a bad deal, voted hot, but i believe the ACER AS9303WSM Recon i got from currys earlier today is a better buy at only £415 delivered inc vat and quidco and voucher discount, acer has better specs as well as 17 inch high resolution screen :p

But I believe the ACER model is run on AMD, also is 1.6ghz whereas the HP is 1.86ghz.

And although the screen size is a 17inch compared to the HP's 15.4inch that does mean it is less portable than the HP as it would weigh more, thus resulting in it being big and bulky. So if your someone who will be carrying around your laptop, it might get a bit annoying having to lug it around.

However the two systems do have the same graphics card.

I dont plan on lugging it around, saw it in action in local pc world, screen is fantastic, just think at £125 cheaper and larger hard disk and double the ram,not to mention built in cam it was a better buy, acer is a special offer granted so you have more chance of actually getting the HP,both are good deals though.

Well it looks like this was only a limited price change as the price has now gone up to £585. Although you should still be able to get it for around £545 with the voucher.

Luckily I order mine this morning.
