Based on the John Carlin book Playing the Enemy: Nelson Mandela and the Game That Changed a Nation, Invictus tells the incredible story of Nelson Mandela’s rise to power during the 1995 Rugby World Cup which took place in South Africa. Directed by Clint Eastwood, the film stars Morgan Freeman as President Mandela, and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, the South African rugby team captain.

Was disappointed in this movie a little really. Although the acting was good, the accents (South African) were either poor or inconsistent, spoiling it a little. Inspiring story though..

Morgan Freeman freely admits that his SA accent was poor but because Nelson Mandela himself suggested Freeman as the actor to portray him, he couldn't refuse the role.

Being South African: I think the movie was very good, and that the accents were decent, especially Matt Damons.
