Looks like a cracking deal. Even I would go for an 18 month contract with this deal!
#2
This looks like a great deal. Any internet included with that package?

I don't think so on that particular deal but there are others with variations in deals with both Orange and Vodafone. I chose this one as it's the most basic discount package.

Thinking about it, given the price and with Quidco aside, you could probably arange the Internet add-on with Orange once the contract commences and as far as I'm aware it's about £5 per month. Still not bad I reckon.

Really good phone package with an OLED screen that has the best display quality of any phone, except when in bright sunlight. This deal is presumably locked to Orange and costs a total of £390, the SIM-free price for this phone is about £330.

I only do PAYG, and I wouldn't touch orange with a remote controlled barge pole but for this phone this deal is good.
#5
So is this a good deal? Can anyone better it? Can't understand why it's not getting hot votes.
#6
Not sure if I added heat right but this was going to be my first post damn it. I bought this last night using quidco, excellent deal orange can't even come close to beating it, and thirdparty stores can't either I even went into phones4u to see if they could beat their own deal, no chance. Orange are the only ones who do it.
#7
is the vodafone deal not better than this ?
#8
Not on this phone. You only get this phone on vodafone through thirdparty suppliers.

is that not what this deal is ? via dialaphone
#10
dialaphone is a thirdparty dealer, go to vodafone themselves and they don't offer the phone at all. What deal are you talking about?
#12
does the "you at work deal" work with quidco ? on this
#13
It depends I use more than 100 txt a month and would be scraping 250 mins. Its a good deal though.
#14
Cheers for the tip off on this just got it as my orange upgrade on this deal
#15
if this was ORange direct i would of voted as its not im not :)
#16
Can you port your number with this deal , some dial-a-phone deals you cant. How do you use quidco with it ?
#17
I noticed these Dial-a-phone discounts, and to be fair, it is a great deal for that phone. Seems all the rage at the moment the 5800. I got my hands on it, and it is a neat and nice lil touch phone.

Personally, I don't rate the touch phones. I prefer a standard sort of keypad, but this is an excellent deal.

Mind if I ask why? Guess you got something against Dial-a-phone?

So you would pay £330 and get NO free minutes or texts and pay higher than normal call rates? Sounds good if you want the phone but eh, don't actually want to use it for phoning.

i click on the link and a pop up says " You have too many handsets in your basket, the following items have been removed:

- Network : Nokia N85 Dolphin £35 NOW £25 - 600 Anytime Xnet Mins + Unlimited Texts (1 item removed)
The maximum number of handsets for is 0"

wth is that all about???
#21
Why does it say £30 a month when you put it in the basket rather than £25 quoted here?

As you have to reclaim £60 after paying £30 a month for the year.

£15.00 line rental for 4 months (Discount worth £60.00!)

For 4 months of your contract line rental is £15.00! (thereafter £30.00 per month). That's a saving of £60.00!

Your reduced line rental is available by redemption in 2 stages: £30.00 at month 8, £30.00 at month 12

Payment by direct debit is mandatory.

Itemised billing is not included. (Can be requested at a charge of £1.50 per month)This is a minimum 12 month contract.

T&C's

Post your most recent bill within the qualifying period to the following address:

Redemption Claim Centre **

**Our redemption claim centre moved premises in June 2008 and the above address could be different to the one on your paperwork. You should now use this one, but do not worry if you have sent your claims to the old address, they will still be received and processed.

Please ensure you send your bill so it is received before the expiry date as we are unable to process late claims.

Please Note
If you have ported your number or you have changed your address, it is vital that you update your details with us to ensure payment. To update your address go to the ‘My Details’ section. To update your mobile number, go to the ‘My Numbers’ section.

If you are redeeming for more than one phone please put the bills in separate envelopes. Sending more than one bill in the same envelope may slow down the automated scanning system and cause delays.

Isn't is also £60 Quidco so effective £20 a month after the cashback from DAP ??
#24
The deal doesn't seem to be working anymore, I can't find it and the link doesn't work anymore
#25
Think this is the deal on this page: http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/aw1/search.aspx?product=Nokia_N85&network=orange&minute=401%2c600&dataallowance=-1%2c999999&downloadspeed=0%2c0&rowqty=10&sortkey=10&order=0&page=1 but they seem to have increased the monthly charge to £30 although it says £25 as the price plan, crazyness

Edit: Go to page 2 when clicking through the link

Yes I don't want free minutes or text because I don't use the phone to chat for hours, just quick calls to arrange when where to meet and what time etc. A £10 top up lasts for months. So why pay £20 per month?

This deal is for an N85 not a 5800.

I would never sign up to an 18 month contract, but that's just me.
#29
Where the hell did the 18 month contract come from......?? GREED I think.
I'd never sign one with a mobile phone company.

It just isn't as good a deal at £30 a month, £90 more in total

So why would you want a £330 phone to only make quick phone calls and not text? and after 6 top ups you are over the contract price.
