Source information is a year old, forget the laptop unless it reappears which I doubt. mods: Post can be deleted

Amazingly bad spec. It wont run anything with any decent speed. Its got a modem but no ethernet port? How you gonna get on the net without extra cost. Also I wonder how easily it can be upgraded. Ive got a better processor, hdd and ram from an old laptop lying around.

And the deal hasnt even started yet and its expired. Wow people need to read a little bit before expiring or voting.

wow, this would be perfect for programming on and with quidco and the 5% voucher, this would be pretty much £90. i am definitely considering this as it should run java and smalltalk fine! this is exactly what i've been looking for!

I expect it could run open office or older applications fine - might be a good Linux laptop. Connect a USB wireless dongle and you're on the net w/ broadband.

But the point is moot.

Will XP run on 256 ram?

Believe it or not ive got xp pro running on 192mb ram and a old p2 300mhz processor in an old panasonic toughbook laptop and for web browsing, word docs and preparing ebay ads on its surprisingly smooth! But then the laptop only cost me £25 and that included buying a brand new battery to go with it! So for a childproof laptop its good!
