Awesome monitor, I have it :)
But selling as I am BRROKKEE haha.

It looks MUCH bigger than 23" imo. Crisp clean picture with good colours. :)

Why have you posted that? It's the same price.

Also got mine today via the weekend's 20% credit. It looks great, both aesthetically and technically. I don't usually go for glossy screens, but after having a look at the options on Tottenham Court Road, this is a winner.

I got mine a few weeks ago when they had another 20% account credit offer.

This is a superb monitor for the price and looks huge on my desktop. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality widescreen monitor.

Don't forget Quidco as well!

Well, just ordered one..... Hope it lives up to the hype! I've got a cheapish 17" Flat panel at the minute but it's served me well. I have a Dell 420 XPS and really should complement it with a decent monitor, I just hope I have invested wisely with this monitor.

Will post back when I have it.

PS, Quick question, has anyone who ordered this Monitor had a confirmation email from CDiscount? I ordered around lunch time today but haven't received any email confirmation. When I login to the site there is confirmation of the order being processed. Just seems unusual not to receive any communication from a retailer you have purchased from.

PPS, Looks like it's out of stock now as there is no 'Add to Basket' button and if you search for the monitor on their site it is not listed. Having not received a confirmation email I am starting to doubt I will receive this.

does it have an aerial socket?

This screen is very good, especially for the price, I bought one from cdiscount about a month ago, needed it cos I was doing some freelance magazine design and the full HD res is great.

Overall it's good, not amazing, but then it is quite cheap for such a large monitor from a good manufacturer with this level of spec. Only slight, and I mean slight, downside is a little light bleed from top and bottom, but not so much that it spoilt my watching of the Transformers Movie on it last night. No motion blur and good strong colours, plus there's a lot of control of the picture if you like to tweak.

I'd forget about the 10,000:1 contrast ratio though as with all monitors and tv's that state ridiculous numbers it effectively has an auto dimmer for the back light, but unlike new LED tv's this effects the whole screen at the same time, meaning that the contrast ratio at any one time it nowhere near those figures.

In all a grand 'ol computer monitor, but sorry fully-automatic it's not a TV so no aerial socket as there's no tuner or any speakers.

What would have make it great, HDMI and speakers, but only cos I use it hooked up to a laptop with HDMI out.

Hope it's not a problem for you, but this monitor doesn't have a glossy screen. I've got it sat on my desk and it's certainly a matt finish

I bought this about a month ago - 22" 1920 x 1080 with 1x VGA and 2x HDMI ports - £134.99

Right you are, thanks! It's the frame that's glossy, the panel is indeed matte. Double-win for me :).

I have the 20" version of this monitor and it's a cracking screen (excuse the pun).

Would definitely recommend it!

Account credit vouchers will be applied within 30 days from the end date of the promotion.

The amount credited will be the advertised percentage of the full price of your qualifying purchase, including VAT.

Credit vouchers are issued in multiples of £10 with any additional amount being issued in a voucher of that value. For example, if you are to be credited £57.50 you will receive 5 x £10 vouchers and a further voucher for £7.50.

You can use all of these vouchers on a single purchase, or choose to spread them over a number of orders. Credit vouchers are valid for a year from the date of issue, and can be used anywhere on cdiscount.co.uk to fund all, or part of an order. It is important to remember that your order total must be at least the same value as the voucher that you intend to use, and that no additional credit or change will be issued.

Your credit vouchers can be found in the "My Account" section on cdiscount.co.uk. You will also receive a notification email to confirm that vouchers have been issued.

If you have any questions relating to account credit, please contact our customer services department on 08444 990099.

When placing an order you should receive a 'validation of order' email. It maybe possible that personal email inbox settings can sometimes 'junk incoming correspondences. For this reason a copy is sent to your cdiscount.co.uk account and is located in your account menu, on the left-hand side under the section 'My Inbox'.

If you need further assistance with this please call our customer support team on 0845 6886060.

Hi CDiscount,

I certainly haven't received any validation email from CDiscount. I have received a 'Promotional' email titled 'Weekend savings: only a few hours left', which outlines your 'New Stores' promotion. I have definitely not got an email in my spam folder etc. However, as I have outlined above, when I access 'My Account' within CDiscount there is a message within my account section that states:

Your order has been picked.
Your order has been picked in our warehouse and is now in the process of being dispatched 29/05/2009

I am assuming/hoping that you are closed over the weekend and no processing takes place. Are you able to confirm that my purchase is definitely waiting for dispatch? My concerns were raised when I never received ANY communication and when I saw that the Monitor cannot be found on your site now.

I'd appreciate any help you can provide.

EDIT: Rang Customer service this morning (Monday 1st June). They are really nice. My order is being processed and I should receive it before Thursday. I'll post back when it gets here if anyone is interested.

Thank you guys.

Received the monitor today. I'm using it now and have my old 17" Monitor set up as a dual second monitor.

Monitor is faultless. CDiscount have been brilliant.

out of interest, anybody received their 20% credit yet? I know the 30days terms and conditions, blah blah. Just wondering.

Cheers,

Rik
