I believe reading that the USB connector on this is plastic and quite fragile as it cannot be protected

I have the 4GB version of this drive and it's been on my keys for the last 3 months or so with no ill effects. It's a sturdy drive.

Does anyone know if this has that annoying U3 software on it?
#6
paid £20 for this not long ago, very small... i wouldn't say it was particularly fragile in relation to any other pen drive i have owned.
#7

It's not out of stock :?
#8
i got one the other day, no software on it, but yes a bit 'flimsy' feeling
#9
Not out of stock, just ordered one. Great buy, but Quidco is only 6% of net price (ex VAT) which is £1.34, so total cost only £15.45.

daaaaaamn this is soooooo tempting!

i got the little micro SD reader that looks identical to this (but allows the use of any size microSD), and its very good...

been looking at 16gb sticks all day, bought one, THEN see this haha typical

I paid £18 delivered from play.com. It was between this one or a Kingston Traveler one that was for £21 from a different site.

just bought one, been looking at upgrading my 8gb one for a while now,and this one pushed me over the edge thanks.

You're better off with the Kingston Traveler, this is just about the slowest 16gb drive there is, hence why it's so 'cheap'.

i looked into comparisons, and the kingston did come over as better, but im going to Oz for a year so need to save money where i can! Also, speed wont be an issue for me, il just be backing up photos and things
#15
ordered, thanks
#16
its good i orderd it form play.com about 2weeks ago for almost the same price but they far too small! still great price

They are tiny, but unless you stand on it it;s not going to break and unless you're sticking 1gb+ movie files on there you're not going to notice it's not the fastest drive around.

Will these work OK on the xbox 360 arcade?

These things have pretty poor read/write speeds, so if you're looking at heavy usage involving large files, it's probably better to look for something else.

Nice 1 just ordered heat added ;-)

ill ditto that, i have one and sometimes if im in a hurry and need to transfer large files it can be very slow to write. A good thing is there is no light to flash when watching videos from it on the ps3 etc.
#22
Got a 16GB for meself and the 8GB for a mate. H&R
