Delivery is not included and costs £5.99

http://www.symposiumwines.com/shop/

KGB T&C here http://www.kgbdeals.co.uk/company/terms?l=GB

Works in the same way as Groupon :D

Yes this is just like groupon, my voucher came through straight away and yes you get to chose what wine you want. I juggled around to get the total as near to £32.99 as poss, you do have to pay delivery at £5.99, so I got 6 bottles, 2 Cab Sav, 2 Merlot and 2 Rioja, which came to 17p after adding the voucher, plus £5.99 delivery = £6.16 to pay, plus the £9 for the voucher gives me 6 bottles for £15.16 , or £2.53 each......bargain :D:D:D

Cheers might give it a try :)

Not a great selection to choose from. Only three wines under £5, and one of them is out of stock.
#5
This is great - top spot.

I actually got mine without paying for postage too.

I opted for just 4 of the more expensive wines, got to the payment part and it did indeed have me down as £5.99 P&P. Once I applied the voucher though I was down as paying just £0.32 (which is the outstanding amount over the value of the voucher). Wouldn't let me checkout with paypal but did with my card.

So 4 excellent looking bottles of wine for £9.32 delivered! Many thanks OP.

Sorry, just realised my previous post isn't very clear...

If you don't want to pay for P&P you can select less wine and use it on that.

Help - what am I doing wrong?

Got voucher through and I believe the number is at the top right of the page.
However when I go to checkout with 5 bottles in my basket (total £34.18 including shipping) and I copy the voucher number into the vouchers code box I get the following error:
"There is 1 error :
01.voucher name not valid"

Can anyone help. Thanks.
#8
where is the voucher code - is it at the top of the vouvher you can print off (or view in a browser)
Thanks
#9
Hi Guys,

The voucher code is in the top right hand corner of the popup page you're given when purchasing. You can access this through your KGB account.

The code should work, just make sure you copy only the numbers (no # or any spaces)...
#10
Does this work immediately - there's a number on the voucher which starts with a # followed by 8 digits. Is that it? It doesn't work for me at the moment but then it does state that the code requires 24 hours to be activated.

That was the code that worked for me (just the digits) - and it did so immediately. As you say though, perhaps it takes time to activate for some. If in doubt, might be worth sending them an email?
#12
Hot! Got my voucher....waiting for it to start working though!
#13
I just love it that you explained everything in the title!
#14
Just to clarify to a thicko:

1. Buy voucher for £9 from KGB.
2. Use voucher to buy wines to vaule of voucher (or over making up the difference) from symposium.
3. Pay balance, inlcuding p&p, to symposium.

Simples?

Has anyone noticed who symposium use for deliveries? Ta

That's what I'm getting as well - I assume the code just hasn't activated yet. Keep trying. :-)

You're spot on - but unless it's changed since this morning you can use the voucher to pay for the cost of the P&P too (obviously you get less wine if you do this).
#17
Not working here either - my code gets Error 1: Name not valid
#18
There wines are overpriced, like groupon, it looks like a deal but at the end you only get what you paid for.

I've just bought this voucher... getting 4 bottles which will cost 33.11 (including p&p) so will be 9.12 for 4 nice bottles of wine delivered. Not bad!

Yeah, I'm wondering if there will be only mega-expensive wine on their site by the time my code gets activated.

I haven't yet voted on this deal as I'm waiting until I actually get to order before voting.

Just checked, my code not valid yet either. But it has just been an hour or two, not worried yet.

Since the coupon's good until June, though, surely the cheaper wines will be re-stocked before this expires?

Not sure your maths is right there...

you lot are ordering from a company that may not physically exist. I cannot find a physical address here , but the Holding company is M&R (UK) ltd.

It s a bit iffy...still, Caveat Emptor (buyer beware). But I would not touch this deal with a bargepole.

£9 for £32.99

£33.11 (£27.12 + £5.99) - £32.99 = £0.12

== £9.12 total

KGB deals exist though, so if they were a fake company then serious brand damage would be done to them if they didn't handle it well. So personally I'll take a punt for £9 :D

£9 for £32.99

== £9.12 total

It won't discount the delivery price (see the T&C's)

The t&c's state "Delivery is not included and costs £5.99" which to me reads its an additional extra.

It does not state that the voucher cannot be used for the delivery, nor does it state that it can only be used for products.

Other people have successfully used it against delivery costs.

Same error code for me, I am hoping that in 24 hours it works!!!! I wonder how many people it has worked for so far? Please say it isn't a con and I have wasted £9!!!

Yep, StevenHP is 100% correct here. It simply allowed me to pay for the P&P with my voucher (I paid £9 for the voucher and then 32p for 4 bottles of wine and P&P).
