The Sony KDL32EX401 is a bargain Sony 32 inch TV with Full 1080p HD and a performance that surpasses expectations.

Sony's BRAVIA technology has long been revered as giving class-leading picture quality, and the KDL-32EX401 is no exception. This impressive 32 inch Sony LCD comes equipped with a 1080p, Full HD TV screen with resolution so good that you only need to sit 1.3m away to experience grain-free, life like realism. A further picture enhancement is the Light Sensor. This automatically adjusts the brightness to create the ideal viewing atmosphere and save power, too. With all the BRAVIA essentials, the KDL32EX401 gives you the depth, vibrant colour and natural picture you'd expect from a quality Sony TV.

As TVs become ever slimmer the sound quality suffers. With any TV you'll benefit hugely from a separate sound system to match the enveloping picture. With this in mind the KDL32ex401's optical digital output and speaker off facility are ideal for integrating the TV with your home cinema system. The built-in digital amplifier with S-Force Front Surround gives a powerful sound by TV standards and Steady Sound adjusts the volume to balance out loud commercials.

Completing this top value TV you'll find all the input sockets you could reasonably need. Four HDMI sockets cover your HD sources, with one being side-mounted for occasional use with an HD games console or camcorder. Added to this you'll find a PC input, twin SCART sockets, component and composite for your analogue inputs and a USB socket. Simply plug in your digital camera or other media device and watch your photos and videos on the big screen.

For a Sony 32 inch TV that's got all the basics covered with the performance of a more expensive TV, take a look at the KDL32ex401. It's the top value-seekers choice.

clueless that doesnt mean anything, all tv's regardless whether they are hd ready or full hd will have 1080p on it to indicate they can display 1080p images...clearly wrong as its full hd and wont need to down convert

the hd ready and 1080p in this thread implies that this isnt full hd but will display (by converting) 1080p images to fit the non full hd screen

sony promo ends on 31 jan 2011 not tonight

Richer sounds also have the 403 for £299 - assuming you can get the sony cashback on that, it's £255 for a decent 32" tv with rather incredible 'internet tv' built in.

worthinger, it is a brick and mortar shop. So of course it is in store only. However I agree with the baiting - however, they are extremely helpful AND knowledgeable and do not have a high turnover of staff. And their optional warranty is second to none.

surely not oO lol

Does anyone know what resolutions this supports through the VGA input, and if you can set overscan/underscan on the set instead of/as well as via the software on the PC?
#25
Lol. I would be interested to know how many HDUK'ers get one of these as I reckon it will be the usual RS's out of stock scenario when you get there. If they had lots of stock they would be on the web site to buy. I used to like Richer Sounds - Julian himself once took my order in the Stockport shop when he used to do that thing where he went round the stores - but the last few years I have got fed up of getting there to find no stock. Sometimes they will even say 'We haven't had those for months', usually they say, 'Buy this one -it's only £30 more...'.

I don't know why they bother with a web site as all the in store deals on it are invariably OOS.
#26
If that's the case then surely they wouldn't get you ring up and reserve one?

If you do not like an assistant trying to help
then why not ring before going. If sold out
you can go elswhere.
Visit Richer Sounds site, all they do and
cannot do is explained there.
Personally, I think they are great.

If the never have anything in stock then they would soon be out of business.

With all due respect and no offense to anyone but there is no way this tv was £499! So... since the 301 will be available for £299 let alone the 403 for a similar priice not voted either way.

depends on store. when I go there for a HUKD offer & they don't have it they act like idiots as you're not buying their expensive goods & £90 HDMI cables. if you're a mug they're your best friend. my store used to have good staff but over the last 5 years the manager changed & he's got his own team in.

I just got this email so was beaten to the deal. great price aswell

Reply to this and other comments.....

I have bought most of my gear at Richer Sounds - their open box sales used to be the event of the year for me - however over the past couple of years I have attempted to "buy" numerous "hot deals" from them as advetised on their website (for both myself and friends) and on only one occasion did I succeed.

They advertise these items in the full knowledge they will be unable to satisfy any kind of popular demand - it is bait pure and simple "no, but we do have a toshiba/samsung/hitachi blah blah blah" Richer Sounds used to be the most fantastic hi fi shop - the move into AV and the need to compete with high turnover internet only business has seriously affected their ability to keep their reputation intact. In my humble opinion.

Great cheap long term guarantees - yes. Yet often matched by the likes of John Lewis who include such stuff in the advertised price - and have STOCK.
