Good price.
If you are getting a digital camera for Xmas that takes AA batties you should get one of these.

how quick do they charge and does it tell u when it stops charging

I would advise anyone buying rechargeables to buy the new hybrid type: "eneloop", or "hybrio" that hold their charge for months.
They are a quiet revoluton in batteries (really!).
Normal rechargeables like these will self-discharge in a week or so if left in a camera etc.

How much more expensive are they? If they are more expensive is the extra cost really worth it to hold the charge longer?
I'll do some research.

I ordered a battery charger from them this time last year.

In march, they cancelled the order.

I've not voted on this, but would advise not to expect it :)

Or 7day shop.
This for £3.79 http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/images/products/prod_101331.jpg

Plus these for £3.59
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/images/products/prod_100921.jpg

Plus £3.95 postage

Works out a bit dearer (£11.29) less 2% Quidco, but
A) you get extra batteries and
B) great deal if you want to take advantage of some of the other offers on the site.

Like this for £5.00

Also the charger is not Sony.

EDIT: Oh, yes. Also it's NOT a super quick chaarger. (Thanks Jamesdew)

ah but is that one a "Super quick" charger

Or this deal from Play

For just £7.99.

NOTE*

Some of the 'newer' type rechargables need their own specific charger and will not be charged by this, so tread carefully and 'Super Quick Charge' will reduce the life of your batteries.

The 7 Day Shop batteries are rubbish, really really bad I mean, half of mine didn't charge and the other half lasted 2 hours in the 360 controllers
#13
I have to agree. I bought a load of the 7DayShop ones and was really dissapointed. I get about a week out of my Wii and Xbox controller. With Duracell batteries i get over a month

Wow HUKD gets indexed fast by google, I was working my way through the play sale and came across these...I was going to order some uniross ones from amazon for £13 earlier, did a quick google to check it was actually a good deal and they hadn't over inflated the 'was' price and this thread is like the 3rd result in the list!

Hopefully I will get these, my experience with Play.com isn't the best...about half the stuff I order goes to 'awaiting stock' and several weeks later I end up giving up and cancelling. Fingers crossed.

If you expect any rechargables to last as long as a set of use-once alkaline batteries, you're going to be dissappointed.

Cheers

I bought this charger from play a while ago. Here are some details which I hope will help answer any questions people asked. If there is anything I missed from earlier questions just ask and I'll try to help.

It includes 4 2500mAh Sony batteries.
The charger is extremely lightweight, and works between 100 and 240v, so good for travelling.
It takes 4 aa or 2 aaa batteries. You can mix them, but it can't fit more than 2 aaa, or 4 batteries total anyway.
Charging times: 155mins for 1-2 aa. 310 mins for 4 aa. (2500mAh)
90 mins for 1-2 aaa. (900mAh)

The only downside is it doesn't seem to have a charging sensor. It describes 3 safety features: 1. voltage monitoring function. 2. safety timer. 3. temperature monitoring function.
Also the instructions say to only put discharged batteries in. Even though the picture looks like each cell has a separate led, they are in fact just holes, and there is only one lower down which goes from orange (when charging) to off when finished.

I have been using it with the included batteries and some of the Lidl £1.99 aa and aaa ones.

Great offer, thanks! I needed some for my camera so this is perfect timing. Voted hot...smokin!

Encore Charger takes a while. I got that, would of rather spent the extra £2 and got this one tbh.
