Just got this TV for 275 from Dixons. Great telly for the price. Watch out for the narrow optimal viewing angle and tinny(ish) sound. Great for a bedroom I think.

My only bug bear is that the DLNA on this TV doesn't support many movie codecs. Just .TS files I believe. Very annoying.

Otherwise, a great TV. Watched the Arsenal Barce game in HD last night, and it looked really good.

Plus if you trade in an old laptop you can get £75 cashback:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/feature.html/ref=br_lf_m_1000465093_grlink_2?ie=UTF8&plgroup=2&docId=1000465093

or for the claim form:

(Obviously not useful for everyone, but if you happen to have one knocking about somewhere...)

I wish you hadn't told me about the Lovefilm promotion.

Now makes me think I should get it (ballsed up last year when buying a Blu Ray player with it as didn't realise only had 7days to get it to them, realisedo on the 7th day. :(

Now thinking this tv will be a good price for what's needed in my mum's house.

Also qualifies for Free 5 year warranty:

However, does anybody know from where you are supposed to find the 'agreement number' as it is required to complete the online warranty registration?

Fantastic TV for this price - Viewing angle can be a slight problem and sound could be better but the be quite frank it decent!. Also its very good with SD sources and the HD tuner works well also.

We bought one just in Dec. for around £300 so this an awesome offer.
Lovefilm is a nice bonus too but does take a few weeks to process and come through.
you have to send them your receipt - but they do send it back!

Works well with our xbox elite also.

viewing angle poor on 32 inch model, but no problems on the 37!! i looked at both in comet and opted for the 37 from amazon...brilliant tv 8)

HOT! Purchased for the spare room. If the viewing angle is rubbish it's going back but worth the risk in my opinion.

"I have contacted Toshiba who say that there shouldn'e be a drop iff in quality at any viewing angle and it sounds like a fault." http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-led-lcd-tvs/1252086-toshiba-32rv753-37rv753-40rv753-owners-thread.html

For anybody interested, the agreement number required to register for a 5-year warranty here:

https://www.toshibaregistrations.com/fiveyearwarranty/default.asp

the number is a 9-digit number between 201000001 and 201046000, as discovered in the source code for the web page.

Yeah I bought the 37 inch version in January and have received my cinema tickets. It's been advertised on Amazon with the cinema offer. If you look hard enough you can still find the link advertising the cinema offer. Might look for it later...

Also I didn't know about the free extended warranty offer :( so I can't advise on that...

The AVforums link explains why this model appears to have a poor viewing angle as all sizes use either S-PVA or A-MVA panels . Historically Toshiba used S-IPS panels in all sizes bar 40". S-IPS panels have better viewing angles.

So will the Lovefilm work with the Play.com deal and also qualify for the free dvd player?

I've read terms and conditions on the Lovefilm and doesn't appear to be anything that suggests otherwise.

Mpeg2 rendering only, it can play other formats from transcoding devices (e.g. decent Win7 PC), but not natively.

Mpeg2 is the minimum required for DNLA certification, which is a bit of a con.
