I have a PS3 for watching Blu Rays, but at the moment continue to buy DVDs as a) they are cheaper and b) this little GEM of a DVD upscales to 1080p - I *really* can't tell the difference to be honest! And at £29 this has to be a bargain!

Make sure to get 3% back at Quidco too! And clubcard points! (If you haven't got an HDMI cable - you'll need this if you are going to upscale - there are tons of cheap but very good ones out there!)

This Digilogic DVDH701 HDMI upscaling DVD player comes in a silver colour complete with HD upscaling which upgrades standard DVD discs to 1080p quality when connected to a full HD TV via HDMI cable. It also features picture zoom, parental lock and an RGB output. 1 HDMI and SCART socket are included to connect to other audio visual components.

Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't look like this DVD player has a USB port or is capable of playing DIVX files. Also, as noted above, the player is not multi-region.

You can pick up a dvd player with these features for around the same price as this one, so sorry - voted cold

think you are correct.
the ASDA Onn model has upscaling, USB port, DivX playback (optical drive or USB) and I think is multiregion out of the box.
attracted a lot of heat when it was £17ish around the time of the VAT cut Dec 2008, and now around £30 in store.
