Just bought three of these, seemed really good value especially if Quidco works out. Should bring them down to £4.79 each delivered. Expires 31/03/2011

Just to confirm Quidco has tracked at £1.60.

I still prefer the wife's non-automated voice when we're lost on holiday......

seems like a good deal except its not really.
just bought one 'active' (laminated) for £9 on amazon (not sure if all maps are same price)
2 x 14 = 28 for 3
so £1 more than amazon.
hmmm

TL:DR amazon probably cheaper and can buy one with free delivery.

Not all maps are this cheap on Amazon, the ones I wanted were £6.99 each. At least with the OS site you can get all maps, unlike many other sites. If you only want the one map etc then get from other retailers such as Dash4it.co.uk etc

Opendata doesn't contain any rights of way, so are of limited use. You might be better off looking at Openstreetmap, or one of its many renders

Thanks for dash4it tip. I only actually needed one map, so got it from there instead - £5.31 inc delivery (rrp 7.99). Cheers all.

Just use bing maps. OS mapping is shown on there.

Sometimes nothing beats the convenience of a proper paper map (voted hot) but I also use my android phone with an app called RMaps which not only sources map tiles online from multimap.com (OS maps), but also allows you to use offline maps generated with Mobile Atlas Creator. Very useful when you're out of data reception range. RMaps also allows you to log your location so you can geotag photos later.
