Reviews here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B0010LWVDW/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=

Quidco might be worth a shot (not sure if earphones counts as an accessory)

Qualifies for 999 purehmv points.

Look suspiciously like these at http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4319 but in a different colour and a lot more expensive

I'll admit they look similar, but certainly not the same, different jack, cable, ear-pads etc. Likelihood is that the actual speaker are different too, which can make a world of difference. It's often the case when you buy from Hong Kong that you get a similar item it's not quite the quality you expected. The reviews on DX don't seem to describe the same quality of product as the Amazon reviews would suggest.

That said... mine haven't turned up yet so I'm only going on the reviews! :-)

Sory to burst your bubble, but I have the ones from DX and they come with replacement buds that are identical (only blue) to these HMV ones.

I'd put money on them being the same. That said They are really good (if bought on DX) for the money you spend.

I doubt the ones on DX are the same, most likely a fake. There are even the Dr Dre earphones on DX... Ofcourse fake.

Cheapest around, hot from me.

But the pictures show that they're different, no? Not trying to push this either way - was just trying to share what I thought was a good buy, but I am always skeptical of buying things from site in Hong Kong - my 4GB Sandisk Compact Flash card (which turned out to be a 256MB knock-off), and my official Canon SLR battery (knock-off which lasted one charge) are my only two experiences and has taught me that things that look "similar" or are even branded as the real deal, can leave you disappointed.... not that you can have much to cry over for £2 lol :-)

I know these definitely contain the same components as the ones described on Amazon so I'm happy to go with the UK seller.

Glad to know that people are confident in Deal Extreme though - have always ruled them out in the past as a bit of an unknown.

I'm after a pair of headphones. How do these sound? As good as Sony?
#8
They should turn up tomorrow so I'll let you know.

One guy on Amazon reviews here seems to rate them above his Sony. And another guy on the same page rates them as much as his Audio-Technica set.

Will keep this thread updated in case anyone else is looking at these in future. Quidco is tracking this purchase as 49p so the total cost for the genuine article :D is £9.50 - cheapest price for a reputable UK seller as far as I can tell.

Arrived today. Great quality - really like the kind of corded cables. Sound quality is brilliant compared to the old Apple iPhone one I had - I didn't even realise that I wasn't getting any bass from the Apple ones until I tried these lol

The in-ear buds will take a little getting used to though.

well they have good reviews for the price and its £5 cheaper than Amazon, even if HMV are slow to deliver - I'm in!
