Never has been annihilating those pesky flying things that plague you all summer been so much fun. Better than fly spray anyday.

Warning - can get quite addictive

Gone are the days of balancing precariously on a chair, trying to swat a mosquito or fly with a rolled up newspaper! Now you can stay in the comfort of your armchair and use the extendable zapper to kill those annoying insects. To charge the electronic grid, simply push the button to the ''On'' position. Once insects come into contact with the grid, they are simply electrocuted on impact.

This item provides the best performance when used with standard alkaline batteries as rechargeable batteries do not provide a high enough voltage to enable the zapper to work correctly.

Electronically charged 3-layer mesh grid to zap flies and insects
Protective grilles prevent shocks to fingers
Flat surface and pivoting head mean you can use against walls, corners and ceilings with ease
No mess to clear up!
Simple push-button operation
Adjustable aluminium handle
Requires 2 x AA batteries

Buy instore unless adding to basket as a filler to avoid postage costs

Can make diy stun guns from them too, not really painful just a quick shock, great for those jackass moments!

They do similar ones that look more like a tennis raquet (both shape and size) in our local poundshop tape a cane on for extra reach, and voila saved yourself a fiver!
#12
I got a tennis raquet (sp?) shaped version from poundland that does exactly the same thing for ... £1 so its a cold from me.
#13
Makes a satisfy electrical crackling noise ;D

yeah me too

A load of these things are useless. They don't work properly, and then they fail altogether after a few weeks.

Google The Executioner™ for a really good one. Bit more expensive, but it really does the job, and mine's still in use 3 years on.

+1 lol

- sorry cold - prefer the non extending ones at 1.00 a time from poundland
#18
You can literally FRY a FLY with these things. Got 1 here and you can just watch the smoke rise once youve zapped a fly and start smelling fly toast. mmmm

I paid £1.99 for a non extending 1.

is it more sore than licking a 9V Square Battery ?

Is it not easier to buy one of those devices that just plug into a socket and emit a light to attract the flies before frying them onto a charged grid?
#21
use an (unelectronic) paper!!.. Uncle Rupert will love you to bits! ;-) :whistling:
#22
Now back to £9.99. Expired!!
#23
I use my hoover's extension hose to get wasps and flys if they don't leave of their own accord. It works 100% every time!
#24
Poundshops near me have something similar to this.
#25
Got the 1 from poundland too .
We have a great time with it apart from the smoke and the very loud bang when we got a large wasp
#26
have you tried spiders? you get 8 individual bangs as each leg goes pop!
#27
bought one in Poundland 3 weeks ago!

I get a lot of flies in the summer (due to the food that I leave out for my cats).. And have always wanted to get an effective electronic zapper....

After reading up on "The Executioner" I want one.. But I wonder how much better they are than the ones in Poundland.. At the end of the day, you could buy more than 10 of the Poundland ones for the cost of an Executioner.

Has anyone compared both? Is teh Executioner worth the extra £££?

Any chance she could do me too, you can watch if you like :p

The typical speed at which a spank is delivered will not work with these minor electric pansies. You've gotta sit on one of these for at least 30 secs to derive satisfaction - with a fully charged battery set. Pls RT*M.

Haven't tried the £1 cheapies, but I did have one from Play that packed up after a short time and wasn't very good anyway. It was the sort with 3 layers of mesh, and I think these are less effective - the fly has to somehow hit the middle layer to get zapped. Play couldn't care less, and just said tough luck.

The Executioner, however, just keeps on going. Better made, 12 month guarantee, and easier to zap a fly with. Might take more than one zap, though. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Thanks for that.. I remember seeing one of the cheaper ones a while back and I didn't buy it as I just felt that it looks unlikely that the insect would be unlikely to make it past the guards and make contact with the mesh......

But the Executioner has exposed wires which makes me think that its going to be easy to kill.

For £10(ish) its got to be worth a punt.. However I just noticed that they do a 'Pro' version for £15.. Its the same but bigger, so I am not sure which one to go for!

I'd go for the larger one, but for one thing - it uses C cell batteries instead of AA, which I have loads of. It may be, though, that this gives the fly a larger zap!
