Item number is 42076371. Put this is the Search box on the front page.

Manufacturers Website:- http://www.trekstor.de/en/products/detail_hdd.php?pid=11&cat=0#none

And Specification (.PDF) http://www.trekstor-fileserver.de/trekstor-pdfs/pdf_web/datastation_maxi_zul_en.pdf

This looks to me to be a very good deal? I have never used Stak.com before. Until now that is.

This is not NAS drive. It is NDAS.

I had horrendous problems with stak when I had a faulty cdrw, in the end I had to threaten trading standards to get a warranty repair :x

This is not a NAS it is NDAS, that means that each and every network client has to have a softeware driver installed before they can access this device. For most people this might not be a problem but for some it will. Having said that if you accept the limitations of having a NDAS rather than a NAS then its not bad value:)

No worries :) Your post gives much more information on NAS/NDAS subject than mine :)

As to the price, it is not great either. One can get Freecom Classic Ethernet drive (also NDAS) 400GB for 129 quid from PCNextDay. Or if you search for 250GB version you'll find that many shops are selling it under 100 quid.

I'll change the NAS in the title to NDAS.

kinell, have you ever bought from this company before?

Why threaten Trading Standards - they are there to help?

A friend of mine bought quite a lot of things from Stak, but he didn't use the web ordering - he rather drove there (he lives in Rugby) and bought it from their shop.
So yes, this company is for real :)
