Just noticed an extra 10% discount on all digital cameras, camcorders, and digital SLRs which are over £100, and it is for this weekend only @ Currys.

If you add items to your basket, you will see the discount applied there. What's ever better is that this seem to work in conjunction with the 5% discount codes from the HUKD voucher section too!!!

Thanks deanos, I'm sure a few good bargains can be found :)

The D40 would be under £300 - Wish I'd seen this before buying one on wednesday from Jessops

I have just spent about 30 mins on this....

When I add the camcorder I want to the basket, the 10% is deducted. But then when I get to the checkout it is asking for the full amount. This is for either collection or home delivery. I really want to colect though. is there any way around this?

Oh, and the 5% code adds money on for me :giggle:

Discount only applies to delivery items i beleive, just checked and it worked fine when i tested it.

Even with 10% off & Quidco 5% my intended camera is dearer at Currys' than anywhere else .
#7
I found the price of the camera I have been looking at went up by 10% now that this offer has started! Still bought it though with the 5% and quidco, still cheapest...

I have just been in Currys to buy a Camera and the 10% offer applies in store (no need to book online first).

There are "10% off all cameras" signs all over the store.

I think it is this weekend only, so you only have tomorrow (Sunday 9th).

I got the Fuji Finepix S6500fd for a fraction over £150.

Camera review here:

The Fujifilm S5600 is £109.87 on Currys website...
the only thing putting me off this camera is the lack of Optical Image Stabilization.....
i would also have to fork out for an XD card.

We have indeed got the deal on instore for today and tommorow.

Its worth mentioning that they have ballsed up a bit because the discount head office have given us is a 'total price amend', rather than lowering the price of the camera or letting us discount it seperately.

This means that if you buy a camera with a bag/card/tripod etc you'll also give you 10% off that (unless the manager is stingy)

Don't want to be cheeky, but are you sure the YAW808 code added money? Could it have been Currys adding something, as they sometimes do, like a camcorder lead or something? Or did you use one of the other YAW codes?

Anyway, as these codes will only work for delivery & the 10% doesn't seem to be working for you, you should be able to phone up & get both discounts. Unfortunately there will probably be a delivery charge & you have to wait for your order & no Quidco.
Otherwise, you could try phoning for collect @ store. You should get the 10% but not the 5% & no delivery costs & again no Quidco.
Or if you do get the 10% working for you online & you want to collect @ store, give Quidco a shot. Although it says cashback doesn't apply to collect @ store items, I've twice received cashback from PCWorld (same group) in this manner.
Anyway, hope this helps & hope you get a bargain.

What a shame. The Canon 400d basic lens kit works out as 401.90 + 6.99 delivery + 3.5% quidco. The best price for a while, but the Canon £50 cashback just ended on 31st August! Still can't get near enough to the Tesco's deal from a few months ago that I just missed.

maggigore, thanks for your message. yep, when I put the item in the basket it had the 10% off and then when I added the code it put the camcorder up to full price again. and it wasn't rectified again at the payment stage.

anyway I was going to have another try but I ended up going into labour and having my baby on sunday :giggle: so I am a bit annoyed that I didn't manage to get a camcorder in time for the hospital but these things happen. so I am still on the lookout for a bargain :-D
