Fantastic price for an extra long USB to micro USB lead. Just ordered one for my PS4 controller to replace the ridiculously short cable included. I will no longer have to play with my face against my TV screen.

Also useful for mobile phones, tablets etc.

Yes but their charge doesn't last forever, and obviously sometimes we like to carry on playing while we charge it up again.

I might be wrong, but doesn't the length affect how effective the charge is?
#5
Because this cable is SO long, doesn't that degrade the quality / strength of electrical charge coming from the charger / PS4, which should in theory make for longer charging cycles, right?.. But I digress and voted HOT as you can buy similar albeit better quality cables for same price or higher!..

I would have to agree that it will effect the charging time, but I leave mine to charge overnight anyway, and the extra length will make it more convenient to carry on playing when charge runs out.

Bought thanks

I use a 3m cable with galaxy s4 and at that length it can only just push enough current to keep up with its demand when been used, as in battery just stays same charge when in use and doesn't drop but doesn't/can't build up. So yes for a controller probably ok and useful but phone not so.

Very useful for length. Use Monster cable for charging & needed a much longer cable @ times & a slower charge is better than having no charge... because of length issues

Surely this would be too long to send any power or data?

I have a 5m HDMI to Micro USB for my nexus & that works fine & it was a cheap Chinese Import

No, USB2 is designed to work with 5m cables.

Hot, I need some for my PS4 too, or I need to play it on a tiny telly when playing & charging when using the standard cable :)

Just connected cable. Trouble shoot it & Nexus 10 & all files are showing on laptop even though it is indicated that it is not. Opened picture on Nexus to confirm

Works perfectly on my PS4 and the delivery was legendarily quick!

1,938 sold.. That guy has cornered the 5m USB cable market.

I bought two, a while back. Both were too long to charge my phones (S3 and S2), both went into the bin.

Is this Xbox compatible?

Cold. Too small to play in the garden.

PS4 wire def is too short. Fortunately i have a socket right beside my bed where my phone charger can charge the controller

Indeed it does. These long cables are also lower quality. They don't conduct enough to charge a mobile phone up to 100% even if you plug it overnight. They barely conduct around 0.5mA. If your smartphone is dead and you plug it in, it is not guaranteed to power up instantly when hooked up with these long cables.

Ordered for the missus. Plugs are nowhere near usefully-placed in various hotels.

I suspected that a couple of my USB leads were not charging my phone/tablet up as quick as they should.. bought one of these..

It confirmed that they would not charge at more than 0.5A even though they are only 1m long.. other cables happy to supply 1.0A
Well worth a couple of quid.

Thanks for the confirmation (including all). I thought this was the case, I bought these 3 m cables some time ago, and my phones where just not charging.

I guess they're at least good for a workaround if you want to use your pads that don't have a charge on them(?).

Has anyone else found that the dual shock 4 needs charging more often than the dual shock 3 ? I seem to have to do it every day... mine you I have been hammering??
#30
Sooo... The consensus is that these are pretty useless for charging anything. Would it even be worth buying one of these to use a PS3 controller whilst still using it? Would it charge, or would it only supply enough power to keep it from dying?

Seems like these are essentially data cables.

Now £2.49,the more he sells the more the price goes up!

You do know that the phone only charges at 1.2a when the screen is on and 2.1a when it is not?
