An absolute bargain here, especially for the Extra Special range. Cheaper than Smartprice peanut butter and far better quality and taste IMO.

No mention of it being a promotion so no idea if it is available instore, and when this deal will end.

*****THIS IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE ONLINE BUT STILL IN VARIOUS BRANCHES*****

ATTN COLD VOTERS:
Just because you may not like this doesn't mean it isn't a good deal. Cashew nut butter can cost over £2.00 as it's still fairly rare and is usually found in health food shops. This really is an EXCELLENT PRICE whether you are a fan of it or not.

Thanks!

Bought some of this yesterday in Asda in Glasgow. They are also doing their Organic Fairtrade Chocolate Spread for 50p. What a heart stopping combination

i have had this before and frankly i did not like it. i love cashew nuts but this does not work for me. peanut butter is lovely in comparison.

This sounds interesting.... will give it a try if I can get to the shops tonight... Thanks

Good price, unfortunately it doesn't taste that nice in comparison to peanut butter (and this is coming from someone who loves cashew nuts). If it was Hazelnut Butter however... mmmmmmm

agree
#11
I love cashew nuts, but get the feeling i'm not going to enjoy this! ...but for 50p might dare to try it!
#12
This is absolutely delicious. I normally buy Skippy but have this on the go as well. Tastes very much like cashews, so as long as you know its cashew not peanut, its just yummy. I often have my finger in the jar! (at home, not in the shop!)
#13
Taste like peanut butter, but more creamy.
#14
Good source of protein and fats for those of you in the Weight Training scene. Or just for those of you with an eye for Good nutrition.
#15
Great price. I think I paid about £1.49 for it a coupla months back, and it's delicious!

If only somewhere in the UK would do pistachio butter too...*sigh*
#16
its absolutley gorgeous this stuff...... can't get enough
#17
ASDA are getting rid of it I think. Saw this reduction about a week ago. Bought 2 jars -haven't tried it though.
#18
Love this stuff, much nicer than peanut butter.

I would rather walk a mile over broken glass, and then go for a jog on a desert of salt then eat this rubbish!

#22
Thanks - great bargain - really tasty

The fact that i personally think this stuff takes like week old vomit, (cue the "so have you tried week old vommit question...) Im entitled to my opinion just like everyone else and to me its rubbish :). that good enough for you?
#24
Cashew Nut Butter? That's just showing off, like getting out the best china for when guests are visiting.

Tempted though...
#25
just bought some and it really is lovely. far nicer than peanut butter =P
#26
I love cashews and not had this one but had others. If you see Almond butter give that a wiz as well.
#27
I'm surprised that there's no mention of this being a great alternative for those that have a peanut allergy, like myself. Might give it a go! Heat added.
#28
Just back from Manchester Eastland store and they have stock of this and the fairtrade chocolate spread. There was shelf edge prices for ES Honey at 50p a pot, but there was no stock.

Get back to your burger and chips then :w00t:

sounds tasty

Never had it before, sounds good, might give it a go for 50p :)

For the person who said they might try it as they have a peanut allergy... I wouldn't be 100% certain that this is prepared in the same factory, make sure you check the jar - lol

Thanks for the concern  As long as it doesn't have the physical ingredient 'peanut' then I'm okay - obviously some may have a more severe allergy (ie. to the slightest trace in preparation).. but yeah, as always - worth a double check ;-)

Is it a good deal for those who like it though?

Heat from me.
Almond butter should be wonderful but tasted bland when I tried it.
#35
I was addicted to all natural peanut butter and had to go on a detox.
Cashew butter is lovely, super deal!
#36
Not 100% cashew - DOES CONTAIN PEANUT PIECES 8%

Not for those with a peanut allergy
#37
DEEEEEEEEliiiiicccccious !!
Just grabbed myself 10 pots...

For those of you new to nut butters other than peanut butter, there is a whole variety Almond, Brazil, Macademia, Seed butters too.. but ASDA don't stock these...

A favourite is by Carleys and it's called 'Rainforest Nut Butter' it's a blend of Brazils, Cashews and Macadamia's, so if you enjoy this you'll die for that !!

Many thnaks for the tipoff
#38
Bought loads. Usually buy it in waitrose or sainsbury and it's over £2.
#39
There's little difference in taste to the regular kind so not worth the usual price for me, great buy at this price though.
#40
yum !
