These are good, but not a patch on the freshly made ones....

Depends on what your definition of a 'pizza' is really.
Personally I think they are very poor - thin cardboardy bread or a slab of inch thick dough..
The stonebaked bases are better.
The pizza posted is more like a proper Italian pizza with proper base and higher quality toppings - shavings of real mozerlla, freah basil, pesto and lovely marinated cherry tomatoes.
Try the Co-op Truly Irresistible Four Seasons Pizza, throw a little rocket on top and drizzle over some balsamic vinegar and its as good if not better than one you'd get from a restauraunt.
'Award winning hand stretched, hand finished pizza topped with red and yellow peppers, porto bellini mushrooms, salami ventricina and petals of Italian mozzarella cheese'

Then I will definitely be trying them. The red and yellow pepper one looks gorgeous. I'm starving now :) Co-op just down the road for me - nearest supermarket so will go tomorrow. Thanks!

Yeh agreed, I only tend to buy stuff like this when it's on offer!
Your pizza shop is cheap, the cheapest one from our local Italian is £6 for a plain 9" pizza,
start adding meats etc and that soon rises to about £14.

Whatever you put on top of a Supermarket pizza (you can't polish a turd) won't beat making the dough fresh yourself and creating your own, but you must use a pizza stone, even then it is no comparrison to a propper restaurant one cooked in a propper wood fired clay oven, that's the only true way to eat pizza, unfortuanatley there are not many places in this country can make them like this but it is common practice in Italy. And remember toppings wise less is more. You should have no more than 3/4 toppings. Can't understand why people buy pizzas with 7/8 different toppings, completely pointless.

Also looking at the deal posted here, I don't know if cherries will work on a pizza. I much prefer tomatoes myself!
