Put Ubuntu 10 on it if you want a free legal system, works very well.

Unless you have a specific need for a program that only runs on Windows, Ubuntu would work fine. Free Open Office is good enough for most uses.

If you do want to go down the Linux route may I recommend that you use Linux Mint as it's very newbie-friendly.

Nice looking system, shames there's a windows sticker on it though! I'm sure a Ubuntu sticker or some other linux sticker will sort that!

Apart from that Office 2010 will be out in a couple of weeks, and the online verison will be free to use for every body.:thumbsup:
