Very cheap paid £9.99 for mine not that long ago and that was a good deal (well sort of)

Don't forget that the Playstation Eye (camera) is required for this game. This cracks up the price quite a bit.

Hot! At this price it's worth a punt, even if the kids only play with it for a week (and we already have the PS3 camera).

Your kids will get about a week from it but it will probably cost you a new TV as your kids will punch the screen when the monkey thing ignores them.... its about as responsive as a formula one car driving through 2 foot deep mud!!!

£5.99 on Amazon (assuming this comes with the Magic Card?).

Only 4 left in stock at time of posting.

EDIT: now sold out at that price on Amazon.

...the release of "EyePet 2" (that includes the [optional] PlayStation Move functionality) will make this title somewhat redundant.

Taken from my comment in another deal thread.

I am so tempted by this as my daughter been asking for ages but i have read many reviews from people saying its a waste of money. Can anyone who has it already tell me what they think? Thanks in advance

We bought one before Christmas as a present for my daughter for about £15. The quality of the camera is a joke and the eye pet interaction was poor. It was duly returned a few days later.

Voted cold for price and product.

My eight year old regularly still plays this title.

The problem with the technology is that the room you are playing within has to be very well lit; daytime playing ideal, but if playing in the evening then you will need a relatively large watt light or lights to ensure that the game performs as it should.

The soon-to-be available PlayStation Move technology is based upon the PLAYSTATION Eye camera following the illuminated bulbs on top of the controllers so these peripherals are better favoured to darker environments.

A new version of "EyePet" ("EyePet 2"!) will incorporate input by PlayStation Move controllers.

Back to this title:
I have seen it crash a few times & usually unplugging the USB cable of the camera from your PS3 & re-connecting clears the issues.

However, we have had some console-stopping crashes that have required a re-boot to get any life out of the console/controllers.

If you really need to buy this now, I'm sure your 4 year old will love it (and you'll love the challenge of getting the right environmental conditions for game-play).

It also can be quite frustrating whilst “training” your interaction with the on-screen character. If your 4 year old is easily annoyed then I would stay clear.

In any respect, my advice would be to wait for the next version if you can.

I paid almost double this amount at the release date, but this is a great price for both PLAYSTATION Eye camera & game title.

You can use the camera’s microphone in many PS3 games too… so buying this product & selling the PS3 game without it may be a worthwhile pursuit.

At E3 they announced it will be getting patched for Move and 3D.

As for Eyepet 2 that will use both features indefinitely.

I just bought it for £21.95 from mymemory.com, via Quidco. Not bad really - just hope my son likes it now!

No it doesn't, I read on numerous forums it would work but it doesn't. I just bought the ps3 cam from Gamestation for £9.99

Yes, I know. Thanks. I hope this title is also patched to stop it crashing.

This title is not getting patched for PlayStation Move. It is a separate title for us.

E3 was very confusing about this.
