sorry for asking but are these mens or women's!

The description in the link:

There is in every true woman's heart, a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity but which flares up, beams and blazes in the hour of adversity or extreme need and focus.

The Twentysix.2 sunglass from Oakley is a womens sunglass aimed at the active lifestyle. The lightweight comfortable and durable O-Matter frame gets a kick of colourful detail on the stem.

That's a really good deal (price has gone up a bit). I have a pair and used for a week's skiing in France over New Years and never had any issues with fogging. I have a small nose bridge and was worried there might be a gap but it was all fine.

The lenses are so good (I have the fire iridium and blue iridium), contrast was great in the sun and shadows. I'll be getting the yellow lens for white out days.

This is the easiest frame in the Oakley range to change lenses. Unlock the clip and pop out the lens, pop in the new lens and close the clip.

Also the best thing about the airbrake is that it is fully customisable. You can change the strap, outriggers (the side bits!), even the little vents at the top.
Is there an advantage to lense switching over a photo chromatic pair which is what I currently use?
If you intend to "own the park" then a spare pair of goggles are definitely handy, otherwise for free-riding & farting around 1 good pair with multiple lenses, stacking soaks foams, which adds to time down recovering / peering through mist & screwing up twice as bad on the next approach, ..though i'm too old now (really) for park duty I often stuck the number 2 pair in with a charcoal pocket warmer, insulated to dry out the wet pair, alternating is easy, go to a lost property department for a pair of mitts as the polartec inners are typically big enough to make for a really good protector for your goggles ...protecting much more than an oakley fabric bag will ever do.

always lift you goggs away from your face don't smear them up your face to your forehead (suncream / wear on the glued foam) also helps air them, sweaty brows will start a lense misting in mere seconds, which again is why you wave em in front of your face to balance the air scoop (cold in) & warm out, top foam beyond the face form fitting compression foam.

Never had a problem with goggles that wasn't the fault of the user.
Easiest if you don't get into bad habits.

cheekychops, as I recall the foam scoop & flow intake has simply received an updated moulding covering with this model when I looked at it, however in the early days of the A-frame the foam scoop was different & also was prone to misting up under certain conditions, I find with A-frames that they feed so much air they can become eyeball watering in their own right & need a tiny bit of damping down, that though is more obvious for me on colder slopes going fast (really fast) when doing measured training runs, then though it's usually -25c or colder & in shade, ..condition dependent really, but changing the angle of my head as soon as I felt it usually resolved it, ..were you were in any form of tuck, head into chin & jacket & possibly restricting your intakes!?

Edited By: MR GUS on Nov 26, 2014 17:40: just another thought!

bought these last year. Fog up all the time compared to my old iridium A frames so cold and avoid from me

Really? Do you wear anything to cover your nose/mouth? Never heard of this before.

Absolutely, seen so many folk not set their goggles up properly with other clothes / hair in the way / covering vents / face block material directing too much of the moist air breathed up onto the goggle intake / straight into foam / too wrapped up to allow the goggles to simply work as designed / wearing on their head (a heat valve) thereafter they have to adjust, ... in other words usually down to user error or sheer incompetence.

dry em out properly, wear em properly, rarely a problem unless you stack & lose the goggle filing it with snow, in which case a bit of maintainance is necessary as you put wet material against your skin & get misted!

anyone know a cheap place to get FLAK JACKET TRANSITIONS SOLFX lenses?
HighwayHero
I've got some Uvex glasses that were around £30 with 3 sets of lenses. They're OK, sometimes on a bright day I have to check that I'm wearing them they just seem so clear. The are getting a little old now though. Then I got some Rudy Project Rydon's with lenses that react to light. I wear these most of the time with UK weather what it is.

Comparing these Oakley's with the Rydon's:
The Oakley's are plastic the Rydon's have some metal in the frame but they are both similar weight
I can change the width/position of the Rydon's nose bridge, but the Oakleys are fixed.
The arms of the Rydon's can also be bent to adjust to your head.
The lenses of the Oakley's look really clear, but they are smokey compared to the Rydon's slight orange tint that changes darker to the light.

All in all, while the price is good, and the lenses seem good, i'm supprised by the quality of the Oakley's frame. They look very cheap. Add to that the clown like colour and, well let's just say I didn't even show my wife, i'll just put them back in the box and return them :-)

totally agree with this comment. But I just tried mine on again in front of the mirror and I am impressed with the fit. My colleague thought they were fake because of the plastic feel. Lol
I may yet keep them just for cycling.
Received mine today so they did go through for 34.99 which I cant moan about. I have an infrared pair of Oakley radarlock photochromic glasses and they look a bit better made to be honest. The flaks fit so well though and like others have said the lenses are the reason why I buy Oakley's. They will be perfect for mountain biking and I will save my other ones for my road cycling antics. Happy with them but glad I didn't pay the full whack for them.

Ebay seems to have loads of these on there from the eyewear outlet website. Seems a shame people only bought them to try to flog on at a higher price.

Edited By: ajwilson20 on Aug 08, 2014 19:04: corrected spelling and added a bit more

We are going to have to agree to disagree. Apple certainly don't offer the best value for money in comparison with the competition. Why isn't Dominos the same though? Because you don't eat sunglasses, or wear pizza? ;)
With both Apple and Oakley, you arent paying for a name, you are paying for the quality of the products. Dominos is hardly the same, then they release the 'deal' to make it normal price. You very rarely get cheap Apple or Oakley products, in the same way you don't get cheap Rolex's. Want the best watch but a Rolex, want the best tablet buy an iPad, want the best sunglasses, buy Oakley. You can of course but cheaper, but you have to accept they arent as good
Half price for something is a good deal? Not if it's grossly over-inflated originally. Look at Domino's Pizza - always half price offers flying around, yet at half price they are still stupidly high.

Don't get me wrong, this is hardly a dig at you, more so the cost of these things being considered 'good value'. Like 'Apple' et al you are just paying for the name.
Paying half price for sunglasses is an excellent deal!
crazygoog
Not voting either way, as this might be the cheapest that these are available. However, since when has £89 for some sunglasses been a good deal? An absolute rip-off for what they are.
What a idiotic response, paying a premium for the best is a fact of life. Its Mercs cost more than Fords and Rolex's cost more than Casio. Half price for something is a good deal full stop.
