Great Price actually works out about £15 delivered which comes under the radar as far as customs is concerned!

The next cheapest I have found is about £24 so hot!

Also check out Beowulf ok it’s the Asian version but its region free for less than £10

Avoid using this website at all costs as it may seem cheap when ordering, but the website forgot to mention that when posted to the UK the post office will charge you a customs fee of nearly £9!! Trust me as i had to find out the hard way. Avoid at all costs!!:x

Might be worth mentioning that the game is terrible...

I've ordered 4 times from them and haven't had to pay customs charges once.

Did you order by airmail by any chance? Mine were standard packages and the Royal Mail just delivered them as normal post...

The first FEAR is great. The developers left to do a proper sequel (project origin) but the publishers got new developers to do this pack - basically two stand alone extensions to cash in on the FEAR name. Problem is, the new dev team did a really poor job...

In YOUR opinion... Just because you don't like it doesn't mean its rubbish. Have you played it for more than 5 minutes???

Personally I don't play many FPS's but found this to be really addictive. The A.I. is clever, the weapons are cool and it delivers some geniune shocks

I've played through the original and while F.E.A.R. Files (Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate) is essentially more of the same its worth it at under £25. In my opinion EP is ok while PM is stronger of the 2. Picked my up at Gamestation a few weeks ago for £24.98 - I think its nearer £20 now.

Most of the gaming press seem to have a similar opinion to me, but life would be very dull if everyone liked the same thing. From my point of view it was worse that the original. The scares weren't there, the graphics and AI were worse, all with identikit locations. To each their own I suppose, but I was very disappointed in this - particularly after the original. That said, Project Origin looks superb.

I honestly don't recall any of the gaming press labelling FEAR Files 'terrible' (as you put it). Most called it average (GamesTM awarded it 6/10). The issues were that it was very samey compared to the original, lacked the gameplay hours of a full price release (£40 - £50) and was unfortunate enough to be released around the time of the highly acclaimed Orange Box.

Extraction Point was easily the weaker of the two. Perseus Mandate is very highly rated by GamesTM, i.e. EP = average game and PM = good.

At this price (if you don't get hammered on import duty) its worth it, I think you'll agree? If you are worried about the import tax go to Gamestation where I think you can get it for £19.99?

Must admit I ordered 1 game from them and got charged tax,so to say it wont happen isn't true.Just think about this when ordering. But still looks a great deal to me.

Yeah I know what you mean - it's isn't trash, but when you have such high hopes for the series, it just seems worse when you're so disappointed. I'm interested to hear that you rate PM over EP as I thought the exact opposite. Some of the reviews agreed too (http://www.gamer.tm/review.php?id=1736&filtr=360 for example.)

To my mind it's worth a tenner, tops. Considering how cheap you can get such masterpieces as Orange Box and Bioshock for atm. Even Darkness/Prey are superior IMO and they're £5-10 if you shop around.

You won't get charged customs as the item is below £18 for a start and i have ordered 70+ items from these and have only been charged customs once because it was a large item.Even if you did get hit with customs it would still only bring it to UK prices so you haven't really lost anything.

Also its our lovely government that impose import duty not play-asia and they can do it to any country outside the EU, so try blaming the real culprits.

If you email Play Asia they will mark down the value of items for you. I must have ordered 50 items with no problems. And I thoroughly enjoyed the 1st Fear so well worth a go for £15 :)
#21
You will only get charged import duty / tax on orders marked over £17.
To get around this order seperately.

Alternatively get the sender to makr the value at £15 (or less).

Not all parcels with a value marked over £17 will be caught by customs, quite a few get through without.

For a list of "region free" games for the 360 (and other consoles), go to:
http://egamia.wikia.com/wiki/Region_Free_Xbox_360_Games

Also, rather than use places like Play Asia, use a reputable Ebay seller based in the region that you are buying from.
I, and many online & offline friends, bought the new Guitar Hero 2 Solus for £24 delivered from Ebay using a US seller. The game arrived for all of us in under a week. The Ebay seller happily marker the packages as £15 / $30 in value. The cheapest online retailer for Guitar Hero 2 in the UK is £38.99.

There are plenty of other Region Free 360 games, check out that list above.

Of 344 games metacritic has rated, this is 210th, with a 66 rating. So 60+% games were rated higher.

Liked the original one. Will pass on this one. Maybe I'll pick up Project Origins, which is from the original team, when it comes out.
