Just brought this game in asda for my husband for xmas and including the wheel only cost £27.71. Had loads in stock behind counter in southampton. It was selling for £39.99 in game and gamestation so thought this was a pretty hot deal.

Without wishing to appear argumentative or starting a graphics over gameplay argument, have you played the game?

I have a Wii and a PS3 and enjoy games on both, for me sometimes graphics can improve a game, but the gameplay has to be there to start with.

Does anyone know if this is anygood?

Delicious handling and a palpable sense of speed combine to make a game that's unique on the Wii, and while there's a feeling of an opportunity missed with the licence, for fans of the sport deprived of an F1 game for so many years this does just enough to satiate the thirst.

Ugly, sloppily presented and poorly featured it may be, but F1 2009 does at least nail the most vital part of a racing game – the driving. If you can see through the mist of its low-grade visuals and look beyond its threadbare options, there’s a deeply satisfying driving experience. Its all about the racing...pretty visuals are one thing, but I started on Atari 2600, then NES, MegaDrive, PS1, XBOX every Gameboy (apart from the 3d one) including color, and for me it is always the gameplay...original Bionic Commando, Mario Bros, Manic Miner....Dig Dug anyone? Showing my age

Visuals may impress the onlooker but like you say it is all about the game play. My kids have this on the PSP and I find it, as a casual gamer, good fun.
