The sequel to Peter Molyneuxs ambitious fantasy adventure title arrives on Xbox 360, where every choice a player makes has a consequence.
Set 500 years after the events of the original Fable, Fable II put players in an entirely new time frame, with a fresh main character and storyline to follow. The original Fable gave players a good degree of freedom within its medieval world, but Fable II expands on this with a vast world of towns and villages to explore, all densely populated.
This new scope continues with characters, who now react to a player presence and the decisions they make. If players cause violence in a quiet town they can expect a cold reception on their next visit. Players with a more friendly approach can still get married and now have children, all of whom take traits from their parents. Combat has also grown in scope. A large selection of weapons is now on offer, including cross-bows and guns, as well as more traditional swords and maces.
Fable II takes the ambitious concepts of the original Fable and, with the added power of the Xbox 360, truly fulfils its promise of a rich, living game world.
