Set 500 years after the original game, Fable II offers even more choices and features, while building on the core gameplay theme of Fable where every choice continually defines who you become, allowing you to truly live the life you choose.

* Includes Fable II plus the expansion packs 'Knothole Island' and 'See The Future' (previously available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace)

* Choices, consequences. The innovative gameplay pioneered in the original Fable provided gamers with a never-before-seen level of immersion in a truly interactive world. Fable II expands upon the scope and depth of the Xbox classic by adding incredible new features and creating a wider, more complex kingdom of limitless choices and consequences.

* A land far, far away. Revisit the sprawling world of Albion more than 500 years after the events of the original Fable, where you are free to explore the landscape and openly roam the countryside. For the right price every house, hut, dungeon and castle is for sale.

* Fight with ease. Fable II pioneers a new combat system designed to allow players to truly master hand weapons such as swords and maces, ranged combat weapons such as bows and guns, and an entirely new magic system. These three disciplines, while very accessible, are also amazingly deep, and allow players to mix combat styles and become everything from master swordsman to skilled ranger to evil magic wielder.

* A hero's best friend. This groundbreaking addition to the game is integral to the theme of unconditional love in Fable II. The canine companion will act as friend, compass and protector. Players must merely feed their pooch and he will love unconditionally, creating a bond that sets up emotion-filled journeys all throughout this magical world.

* Experience the world together. For the first time in the Fable series, gamers can experience the expansive and immersive world of Fable II with friends, utilising the new and exciting Dynamic Co-Op Mode, bringing the long-awaited multiplayer function to the world of Fable II.

When this was just slightly more expensive at Gamestation.co.uk last month I was wavering on a purchase but then I looked at some game-play videos at GameTrailers.com & decided it wasn't for me.

"Heat" added to this deal listing though.

BFN,

I got it for £15.99 from Gamestation last month I think. Fantastic game, loving it. It reminds me a bit of Zelda Twilight Princess.

It's a great game and at this price it's a steal (with the extra DLC etc). One of the first games I played on the 360 and enjoyed it thoroughly :) Be sure to install it to your HDD though, as mine froze in the same spot 15 minutes into the game while reading from disc, and apparently can freeze infrequently at other times, so definitely run from disc!

like an earlier poster i bought from gamestation at 15.99, since it arrived nothing else has really been in that drive including L4D2! I will get to that though ;-)

Is this a Zelda-esque game?
#13
This game is a little zelda like. But far less puzzles and much more action.
A little short but beautiful story, brilliant voice acting (stephen fry included) and pretty nice gfx.
Just watch out if you go sleeping with the less 'selective' women of fables lands or it will be a trip to the docs! :)

zelda would be the best series ever if you could sleep with women and have to go to the doctors because of it.

I was struggling to get the Gamestation site to work so I could buy it for 15.95 there - for once I'm now thankful for errors as I can now get it cheaper :)

Thanks :)

Nope, not free.
Makes sense to buy the GOTY as it works out cheaper than buying the normal edition
and the DLC off the marketplace.

Yes and No.

If you know someone that has already bought the content and you want to play it with them on Live, then you can download the free version. But if you want to play the extra content by yourself, or with anyone else then you will need to buy the DLC. Also if you are playing it with a friend, and they are hosting the game, then from what I understand you don't get to play as your character, but rather a minion in your friends game - a bit confusing, but its deliberate to make it inferior to playing you own character in your game, since you didn't buy the content.

Currently Knothole Island costs 800MS and See The Future costs 560MS.

If 2100 MS points costs the standard £17.50 then it works out as costing £11.33 for just the DLC, so paying £12.93 for the game and the DLC makes this a pretty good deal. Of course there have been plenty of deals in the past to get MS points for cheaper, but this is still a good deal, and the cheapest I am aware of to date.

Tip for anybody unsure about the game:

You can get Fable II Episode 1 for free from the xbox marketplace. They've split the game into 5 for download, and you pay for the other 4 bits. However, your save from the free first episode will also work with a disc version, so you can use episode 1 as an extended demo, then get this deal and continue where you left off.
#26
Remember that having the disc is way better than downloading because you can SELL or TRADE it in later and probably get all of your money back.
#27
Poor sequel, good price though and very fun
#28
Must resist! While wondering if can possibly get any cheaper......
#29
Looks like this has gone back upto £39.73

NOOOOOOOOOO! I was gonna get this, but just went to the site and yes, its now full price :-(
