if you get shaped cutters you could probably do the same, still a lot of waste though.....but for the right person a deal

Not so bad if you use a small square loaf, but the fun the kids will have is worth the 2p per slice of waste :)
There are lots of things you can do with the offcuts, make a bread pudding - yum!, breadcrumbs or feed it to the birds!

I use a cutter for my lil one, he eats all the edges and then the middle shaped bit, so no waste!
