San Francisco's Faith No More began dispensing their funk-laden thrash metal in the early 1980s with vocalist Chuck Moseley. When tensions led to the firing of Moseley, the band found a fitting replacement in Mr. Bungle frontman Mike Patton. Their classic-rock guitar riffs, slap-happy bass playing, atmospheric keyboards, and tribal drumming, alongside Patton's vocal gymnastics, proved to be a winning combination. FNM's 1989 album, THE REAL THING, became a surprise hit the following year. In 1992, the group released their masterpiece, ANGEL DUST, and embarked on a world tour with Gun N' Roses and Metallica. After the departure of guitarist Jim Martin, Faith No More released two more albums and called it a day in 1998. Since then, band members have gone on to numerous other projects, most notably Patton's Fantomas and Tomahawk collaborations.

Two classic albums, got this last time it was £4.99 and well worth every penny. For those interested it doesn't come with the booklets so it's cover images and CD's only.

2 great albums.

For anyone that maybe doesn't know it yet, they've reformed this year: http://www.fnm.com/news/

Apparently, they're to headline at Download. I was hoping for some smaller venues, but that may not happen now. Still, fingers crossed.

Shame Ive already got them on tape and CD, great band. Disc 1 has a couple duffish tunes where you realise they are losing the plot a bit but the whole of THE REAL THING is grade A stuff.

You want it all but you cant have it. Its in your face but you cant grab it.

Awesome band and these are two great albums. Their other albums ('Introduce Yourself', 'King for a Day, Fool for a Lifetime' and 'Album of the Year') are cool too if you like these.

Great spot and hello to anyone who also got ridiculously excited when they heard they were reforming. (My download tickets are ordered!!)
