That's all well and good but a 960 is typically 50% more than this, At this price point it's competing with 750ti OC cards which it is more than a match for.
A 960 is around 280 level and a 750Ti is < 270 (non x)
Exactly.

These cards really shouldn't have a place in the market anymore.

If you want mid level 1080p gaming, get a GTX 960, if you want a quiet, low powered HTPC, get a 960 or 970. If you want high end 1080p/bit of 1440p, get a 970 or 980 and if you want 4K get a 980Ti.

If you're patient, wait for Pascal and AMD's next innovations.

I have a 270x and I can't wait to get rid of it.
Managed to get the vtx r9 285 (from ebuyer) for £96 by combining bespoke offers and topcashback on Monday. Should be delivered in the next couple of days.

Not really cheap and i wouldn't touch another Seagate HDD ive had 3 fail totally the last one was a USB3 external drive that was around 6 months old. The other 2 were big 2tb ones like this and nothing was salvageable i had to return them under warranty to holland if i remember rightly, they did replace them but with refurbished drives which i never used when they were returned. I only have a couple of Samsungs which are reliable but the rest are Sata3 WD's greens in my machine and WD reds in my server.

Seagate Barracuda 3.5 inch 2TB the same as the one posted £58.45 Amazon so cheaper than this and from the best retailer there is when it fails you will at least get a refund.

Less than £3 more for a WD green from Amazon a real no brainer WD have UK returns and number so no hassle having to send the drive 1000s of miles.

Sorry cold data is to valuable to risk cheap Seagate drives.

Not the best drives IMO. I guess with you being another local member / customer to the merchant it won't be too hard for you to get a refund (_;)

We'll scan do a good one for £59 plus delivery unless ur a free customer

That is a good deal, but the drive is a Seagate which are not the most reliable. WD red is perfect for NAS or server use, even with the added postage this not a bad deal.

For those (like me) who may be wondering - what's different about a Nas drive from a normal drive? I know what a Nas is, but how would it be different to using a normal 2tb drive?

It's mainly just the firmware, there are some changes made to improve the way the drive behaves when part of an array:
