2 bars of green soap for 69p, great deal in my opinion. I've been a lifelong fan of Falcon soap and use it for everything, from a handwash to laundry. If washing clothes by hand, this soap is all you need! It beats Astonish and Vanish Soap when it comes to pre-treating stains. You have to try it out for yourself!

It's indistinguishable from the green bars of Fairy soap which are no longer made, and it smells the same, and leaves behind a mild, classic fresh Fairy scent. Cheapest price elsewhere is a pack of 4 bars for £3.45 in Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Household-soap-125g-bars-Green/dp/B005BWXBTO).

I have read of people (on MSE and the like) grating these bars of soap and using them instead of washing powder? Have to read the MSE threads again

Also, not quite as cheap, but I spotted these same Falcon bars (three varieties) in Poundland the other day. They had them in green and two versions/colours of carbolic, if I remember right.

Real carbolic (carbolic acid) or fake look and smell-like? I get Blue Power - the real stuff.

It says "carbolic" on the packet but I'm not sure if it's the bona fide stuff. I'm going to pick up some and try to see how it works on stains, supposedly they're better than Vanish bars, etc.

Yeah it happens with Coal Tar soap too...just smells like th real thing but isn't because EU have banned the use of coal-tar in non-prescription products. So Wright's Coal Tar Soap is still called as such, looks the same (I think) and smells the same. LOL On Boots web its even called Wrights Traditional Coal Tar Soap. What a swizz.

Not quite as good as Fairy, but seeing as the last stocks of Fairy are selling for a tenner each on ebay these are the best buy. The wife swears by tehm for stain removal. Hot!
