From what they are saying in the other post it looks like you can install it in your hard drive and you don't need the disc after that and then trade it in at CEX for £9. So if that works you can get it for only £1 no bad at all.

Obvisously you need the Fallout 3 disc inside the XBOX so you can't really have the game and the addon disc at the same time.

Bargain all over the place

PD: I also paid with my AMEX which gives me a further 5% cashback not bad.

Yes, you definitely only need to use the disc once, so can sell it on afterwards. It might be technically slightly more initial cost than downloading, but you can't get any money for your DLC once you've finished with it.

I already downloaded these two packs when they came out, but I bought the Anchorage/Pitt retail disc, installed the games and then sold the disc on Ebay ending up with a quid's profit rather than losing 1600 MS points!

I did not know you could do this before today. I have only paid for Anchorage so far. But I guess buying the Pitt and Anchorage pack is not worth it now, CEX only gives £4 for that I think. :x

But I won't miss on this one and I can use my points in something else.

PS: One of the things that annoys from buying then online is that I can not use them on my two XBOXs (one of them is not connected to LIVE) is a bit of a pain to get the Anchorage sort it in both and to play the saved games.

Although I'd love to extend my Fallout adventures, my concern is the limited amount of space available on my 20gb model. With titles like Forza 3 requiring installation of the second disc and huge patches for Burnout i'm having problems managing what I can store.

Shame none of my friends are fans, could go halves :)

Hot price cheers OP just ordered one.

Let's see by the time the game of the year comes out Fallout 3 original will probably cost less than £10 each expansion £10 and the last one maybe half price let's say £35 buying them individually.

But the difference is that you can trade the addons and recover some money and still have them in your hard drive. With the game of the year I doubt you will be able to do that. Although I might be wrong

They currently claim the final DLC won't be released on disk. as such it will be at full Live Price and won't be resalable. Also the GOTY edition may not require any installs, great for those struggling with a 20GB HDD like myself

If you have waited this long then you can probably wait till the GOTY is about £20 a couple of months after release.

Very true ... but you could always use that logic for something or other  It's a great game and while some expansions are a bit lacking compared to others, they seem to complement the game quite well.

I for one am appreciative of the Operation Anchorage power armour with it's 10m HP :D

I finished the main mission on Fallout 3 quite a while ago an traded the game in but am intrigued to know how the story can continue from where it left off - not wanting to spoil things for those still playing... if you know what I mean! So maybe some kind soul can drop me a PM to explain please..? I think I can get a used Fallout from blockbuster for about £15 which is what I got for trading it in so with the news you can sell the expansion pack on after install makes this very tempting :)

Well let me just tell you something, I completed the game about 4 months ago for the first time and that was only discovering probably about 20-30% of the map, it took me about 3 months to discover the rest of the map and all of the side quest and all that without expansions (have you done the nuka cola quest? have you killed all the 5 big mutants? have you got the super duper power armor? have you done the OASYS quest the one with trees? have you found the super duper fat man the one that shoots about 8 nuke at once? have you found all the 20 bobbleheads?) to do all these you really need to go out there and explore the game. The original game has got a lot to do if you are willing to explore, I really enjoy the game, recently I bought the Anchorage expansion when it was on sale for gold members and completed very quickly but it was good.

I have managed to increase most of my skills to the max and all that just at level 20, so now I am going for these new addons to go up to level 30.

Incidentally, anybody know the best price for Fallout 3 Game of the Year Ed?

I'm looking to buy this. I think the best price I've seen is £30 pre-order from Amazon.

WelI let me just tell you something in reply: I *only* did about 85% of the missions before completing the final 'story' mission because I play games for enjoyment rather than achievement so to try finding every last bobblehead etc. would be a waste of time for me personally but fair play to you if that's your cup of tea.

Got my copy, installed it and traded in at GAMESTATION for £10 (after telling them that CEX was going to give me £9) what a bargain.

Advantages of buying this version over the XBOX Live 800 points version.

1. You can install it in as many XBOX 360 you want ( I have two), once installed you do not need the disc anymore.

2. It works with any profile rather than just the one that you bought it from XBOX live.

3. It works if you have an XBOX not connected to internet and without XBOX live.

4. You get money back (£9 at CEX, £10 Gamestation)

I think this has gone up by £1 now to £11.73 but if you get £10 back to me is still a good deal.
