Hi, great deal, but I just thought I'd say that it says this on quidco,

"No additional discount codes can be used in conjunction with receiving your cashback.
The use of externally sourced discount codes may result in your cashback being declined."

So y'know don't bank on getting the code and the quidco, but worth a try since they're the same amount of discount ;)

I've always had quidco rejected by thehut regardless if I use coupons or not.

With so many things going on with Collector's Edition I wonder whether there is any point in getting the Limited (not very limited) edition.

Just look at what happen with FABLE 2, the extra ingame content that the Limited edition had, it looks like now anybody can ask microsoft for the code and have the same things :x.

Hey got this today,
not sure id of payed more than that for it (i got it for £43 from shopto.net) the lunchbox is good quality as the dvd and book etc but the bobble head is cheap rubbish, if anyone wants any pics of it lemme know

As I said it looks like

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/924/924546p1.html

Which kind of defeat the purpose of having the Limited Collector's edition. In Fable 2 we where suppose to get some other extras which at the end did not come with the game :x.

Thanks for that

Rep added.

Back on topic. Is this game going to be any good? Have been considering buying it.

I hope this isn't a bitter disappointment like Fable II (anyone know what Sainsburys returns policy is? I bought it yesterday afternoon) and Far Cry 2.

The reviews are all lies at the moment :)

hehe thanks for that. I guess if the American can have it why can we not have it here in the UK

I heard this game is going to be very good, but have not played it myself, will wait to get it secondhand once people get bored of playing it

I guess FABLE II is one of those games that people really like it or don't like it at all. I think the game is brilliant and have not stopped playing it since I got it, but I respect your opinion.

If you opened the game you probably will not be able to give it back.

I'm tempted to tell them that it makes my 360 sound like it's going into critical meltdown. I've never heard the disc drive accessed so rapidly and regularly - The laser must be taking a real beating.

My main problem with the game is that the intrepid hero doesn't seem connected to the ground. He floats around with limbs moving at a different speed to his movement, almost like he's permanently on ice!

I was steaming drunk when I played it last night, so perhaps I was just in ultra-critical mode

i would rather play fallout than fable.

THis is an amazing game. If you like rpg you will love this. Great price but the code does not work for me price is £42.93

360 version is the one to have with exclusive DLC to come. Also it was devloped for the p.c / 360 so the ps3 version is just a port.

The discount code reward5 is invalid.

Could this explain why most of the games for PS3 are 720p and 1080i only and not 1080p whilst the XBOX 360 version does 1080p?

I had Beijing 2008 for the PS3 at it just look awful in my 1080p TV (like when you have antialias turn off or at 2x in a PC game in which the lines just do not look straight) I think the PS3 or the TV was not doing a good job upscaling, so I swapped for the XBOX 360 version and it looks superb at 1080p.

The only game that does not seem to have this 1080p problem seems to be Metal Gear Solid 4, any other get a similar issue.

Reviews are subjective. Unless you have an identical twin/clone that reviews games.

You could try the "faulty game" approach at a supermarket I guess, it is not that like they will know any better. Should at least get store credit.
#21
Its because virtually every 3rd party game on the ps3 is a pc / 360 port. The 360 uses ms software acheteicture so its a common platform. This is the biggest installed base so it obviously makes sense to then port to the ps3 which is why the gams almost always look and run worse.

I tried it again on my lunchbreak, it was marginally better but I still don't think I'm enjoying it enough to bother keeping it. Would much rather spend the time playing Order of Ecclesia on my DS

Sainsburys didn't let me return it - that was a pontless long cold walk...

Am I missing something?

Was there a Fallout 1 'n 2?

THe title should be changed to the correct price as the discount code no longer works..

Ye I think Fallout 2 came out in 1997 and they were both pc games only. Anyway got this today from Game (pre-order) and have been playing for the past 4 hours. I think its brilliant so far, very impressed. Its been getting high reviews all over the place, definately worth checking out.

Sounds like you haven't gotten out of childhood.

In the game, that is. It's a fantastic game..
