Bargain! If you've not played them you should jump on this one! Lot of game of very little money. Some unofficial updates fix some remaining bugs

Just bought Fallout 3, been looking for this cheap for a while! Bit odd that you can use a card online with an incorrect billing address though.
#9

All DLC is included in each one.

The DLC isn't that exciting but it does let you increase your level to 30, which is worth it

Jaystan/Anyone else who had bought from Amazon.com,
What about the charges you pay to your credit/debit card provider for the US$ to GBP conversion? Natwest want £1.25 charge plus a poor exchange rate which means the GMG £5.09 is better value and less hassle.

EDIT: With the 20% off it's £4.08 each on GMG for the GOTY and Ultimate versions.

I'm with Lloyds and get charged ~£1.40 every time I buy something from Amazon.com, so I'm in the same boat as you.

It depends on your bank and card. If you are one of the ones getting the extra charge in this case probably best going with GMG :)

Lloyds and Natwest hang their heads in shame

If you have Barclays or Co-op/Smile Accounts, I think no charges

I'm sure there's a mod for that too, mind you.

Does anybody know if HSBC charge for purchases with USD?
#25
Just buy Fallout GOTY or New Vegas ultimate off Steam for £5.09. It's worth the extra for the DLC... and it'll annoy you if you don't get it when it this cheap.

To save pence and pounds ain't worth the hassle of signing up a US account, using codes, bank charges etc etc. No fuss, no faff... The game is just there.

Great! I was looking at both of these on steam a few days ago, but held off to see if they would come down in price!

That's my next few months sorted. So this won't be the only Fallout happening!

I'm with NatWest, and I don't get charged for overseas transactions. I always buy through PayPal. Have you tired that?

Haven't finished New Vegas for whatever reason, but you'll want to add some mods to it now before you even start. Worth it.

Can't buy from Amazon with Paypal, at least on my account it doesn't offer an option.

At the end of the day I paid £8.16 for FO3 GOTY and FONV Ultimate Edition from GMG using their 20% code. If I had remembered I could have got a few p back on TCB or Quidco I think.
#31
Is New Vegas worth paying? I never liked the look of it, seemed more like a FO3 mod than a sequel

I was actually speaking more generally of overseas purchases, but I've just checked, and it appears as though my Amazon purchases went through on my standard card. Hmm, unsure, I'm afraid.:|

It's a good game. Just heavily bugged on PC.

They charge you a percentage and it doesn't have a minimum fee.
Last time I bought something on Amazon US on HSBC debit card, they charged me a few pence.

Amazon usually convert and charge me in GBP at checkout so I don't get charged by NatWest.

I thought similarly, it took me a lot longer to get into it but now I have I am really enjoying it. There's a lot more stats to deal with, especially if you play it on hardcore mode, but it makes it more interesting. You can make a lot more things rather than just a few chems. In hardcore mode nearly everything has a weight value, you need to drink eat and sleep else you die. You have different types of ammo, can mod guns and make ammo.

It really is worth having the GOTY version of both, saves so much money in the long run if you play it a lot.

Shame fallout 1 & 2 has been removed from gog.com :(

As others have probably said, BUY THE GOTY/ULTIMATE EDITIONS!
#38
Would it be worth embarking some time into Fallout 3 on PS3?
This is a game which I seemed to bypass somehow.

Of course it wouldnt if you use Paypal, do you even have a clue how Paypal works? Paypal charges you in GBP and just converts it themselves. and as has already been stated Amazon do not accept Paypal so what in the hell are you even talking about?
