If there are any problems with the game working, a full refund is of course possible. Seems a good price to me. Instore only.

You should state pre-owned in the title just to avoid any ambiguity

Have they? I'm a few hours in and so far it's brilliant.

I purchased this game just before xmas for about £25 (collectors edition but it was same price as normal) so this price isn't too bad as long as it is in good nick.
I've yet to even play it as I have loads of games to get through.

As for "same away from ps3 version", this is really to do with DLC which the ps3 lacks due to a "cough" bribe, obviously this is my opinion but is taken as fairly near to the truth.
I only have a PS3, which I adore (sad?), so really don't have a choice of platform.

I'm playing this on Xbox 360 at the minute, and this is brilliant value for money. The game is absolutely huge.

That is great to hear. I also have Obvilion GOTY ed. which is great but I never managed to finish it. I heard that if you just play the story line on Fallout 3 then it isn't very long and once you finish it, it is finished so you have to start again.
Basically it is probably better to go off and do side missions if you want the game to go on and on and on.....

No DLC on the ps3 version. One pack already and 2 huge new areas being aded in the next 2 packs comming out in feb and march. These wont be made available onm the ps3 so you are buying an hamstrung version from the get go.

Also the ps3 version is full of bugs and textures issues. It doesnt look or run anywhere near as well as on the pc and 360.

Read the reviews its a very poor port of the pc / 360 version.

THis is a brilliant game if the ps3 is your only option then fair enough but really its so good shame to play such an inferior version of this game.

I've got the PS3 version. Quite simply one of the most amazing games i've ever played (and i've been gaming for 25 years). I just can't explain how much game this is for the money. it's massive, very immersive and very playable.

I'm in agreement with brock101, it helps if you've played it on both systems - No difference apart from d/l content.

You might not want to put too much faith in reviews, they tend to be a little biased towards one format or the other.
#17
To be honest, I've seen video/screenshots and they look fairly similar to me. There was a patch which addressed some issues, perhaps reviews are refering to the issues prior to that.
The PC version looks noticeably superior to both consoles.

Anyway aren't we get a little off subject here, mainly is this a good deal or not? I think if you have both systems then will probably know the differences.
I would rather this thread didn't get into another "My Dad can beat up your Dad" type of thing.

Actually there is a major difference in that the PS3 uses no Anti Ailiasing at all wheres as the PC and XBox 360 and Pc versions do resulting in no sharp lines and weak draw distance sorry to burst your bubble but the PS3 version is definatly inferior.

Heres a link to the comparison review for anyone that is curious

Shouldnt you be playing your 360 that you love so much :p Why even bother posting on a PS3 deal, I doubt anyone here that owns a ps3 is gonna go now and buy a 360 because the graphics might be better in this one game :-D

Anyway, Wii is better than them all :w00t:
#21
DO you know how much LBP or far cry 2 on the ps3 is pre owned from hmv?
#22
LBP was at a rubbish price, like over £25 I think (you can get it for far cheaper new). Fallout 3 was the only standout deal.

It crashed twice on me. Completed the game though. Still unaceptable to crash at all.
Played the xbox version for 8 or so hours, was fine.

Looks identical really.
