Vault 101 - Jewel of the Wastes. For 200 years, Vault 101 has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.

Includes Fallout 3 and five expansion packs: Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.
Limitless Freedom: Take in the sights and sounds of the vast Capital Wasteland! See the great monuments of the United States lying in post-apocalyptic ruin! You make the choices that define you and change the world. Just keep an eye on your Rad Meter!
Experience SPECIAL: Vault-Tec engineers bring you the latest in human ability simulation - the SPECIAL Character System! Utilising new breakthroughs in points-based ability representation, SPECIAL affords unlimited customisation of your character. Also included are dozens of unique skills and perks to choose from, each with a dazzling variety of effects!
The Power of Choice: Feeling like a dastardly villain today, or a good samaritan? Pick a side or walk the line, as every situation can be dealt with in many different ways. Talk out your problems in a civilised fashion, or just flash your Plasma Rifle.
Blast 'Em Away With V.A.T.S.: Even the odds in combat with the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System for your Pip-Boy Model 3000! V.A.T.S. allows you to pause time in combat, target specific body parts on your target, queue up attacks, and let Vault-Tec take out your aggression for you. Rain death and destruction in an all-new cinematic presentation.
Mind-Blowing Artificial Intelligence: At Vault-Tec, we realise that the key to reviving civilisation after a global nuclear war is people. Our best minds pooled their efforts to produce an advanced version of Radiant A.I., America's First Choice in Human Interaction Simulation. Facial expressions, gestures, unique dialog, and lifelike behavior are brought together with stunning results by the latest in Vault-Tec technology.

A single pack? Where were you buying them? They were £10 tops from what I remember!

I love a good shooter but I don't get the fuss made about this game. I played it for a few hours and was quite underwhelmed by it.

What's the best price at the moment for this on the Xbox or PS3?
#13
You should have given it more of a chance! It`s one of the games that really rewards exploration. I loved all the side quests that were off the beaten track. Great selection of weapons, loved the perks system and the trading. In fact too many good points about this game to list. It`s a modern classic and anyone that hasn`t played it should snap it up now. Good for min 40+hrs gameplay. Probably twice that if you explore every location and complete every quest.

I so want this game, but if it still has Securom on it I wont buy it. Why do Bethesda treat their customers like thieves? And I wonder whether they still have the 3 installs set up...Only 3 installs before it stops working.

RRP £14.99. Not far off IMO. You can still find them for that price.

Just got this delivered from amazon

Weird thing is that the Download content DVD doesnt have any sort of codes.
Installed all the expansions and in theory could do it as many places as wanted

Really? Pfft. They were around £6 each on the 360 (assuming people spent 800 points on them from a £15 2100 point card).

That wasn't a single expansion, that was the first two, Operation Anchorage and The Pitt bundled together. Individually they were the same price as XBLM. Regardless, this is one hell of a deal.

Ah, that wasn't clear initially  But yes - this is a great deal and the expansion disk can be sold on if so desired, making it even better value. Bethesda appear to be well aware of this as well, but chose to distribute that way regardless.

Agreed. I traded my original version for this as it worked out cheaper than buying the expansions (£7.99 x 5 on PS3). Only paid £8 for the original anyway thanks to a HUKD tip-off, and got £5 trade-in ;-)
