As it says. Beats Asda's deal by a couple of quid. May be store specific though i don't think it is. Can provide picture of receipt if required. Read More

Includes Fallout 3 and five expansion packs: Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta.

Fallout 3 is only a tenner pre owned in game.

You are comparing a second hand copy of the game that does not come with any of the DLC against a new copy of the game WITH all the DLC. Good job

the dlcs are all 7.99 right? so thats £40 plus the £9 I've seen the game going around for, seems a good deal.

My Q is are the DLCs REALLY worth it???

this is a good price but worth waiting maybe a few more months to see if it drops more
#10
cant get into this game at all...
#11
I got mine at Tescos today ! The best game on the ps3 bar GT4 and possibly Uncharted 2 !
#12
playing now, its superb
#13
Oh sorry got mine in Rose Lane Liverpool , one left !

I got a love/hate relationship with this game. I'm liking it at the moment, though inevitably, I'll get stuck on a certain bit and I won't touch it for ages. Proper in-depth (console) RPG, for people with large foreheads and pale skin. NOT A SHOOT'EM UP!

Some really astonishing moments in this game, a great choking sense of solitude is maintained for long spells at a time and the empty streets and rundown buildings add to the atmosphere - along with the soundtrack/sound design. Got a bit of Bioshock style aesthetics to it too - which is a thumbs up from me.

Just tried getting back into in lately. Might sell my 360 copy, and get this when it's good and cheap(on PS3), and start afresh. Great value with 5 DLCs included though.

Hot from me.

Be warned, if you disliked Oblivion/Elder Scolls you'll probably hate this too!
#15
Considering its got £40 of DLC it seems to be a complete bargain.

BTW The xbox DLC is on a 2nd disc and installs onto your hard drive (circa 2GB). So you could always just borrow the GOTY edition and get the cheap version. Can't do this "trick" on the superior PS3 as all the code is contained on one blu Ray
#16
I lost over 100 hours of my life to this game. Will probably wait until I've finished Uncharted 2 before getting the DLC though (only really interested in Broken Steel.... level cap raise!)
#17
Me too, I'm surprised I'm still married! Awesome game, it was the post apocolyptic theme that really pulled me in, all DLC is great probably Anchorage was my least favourite though, well worth £27 I got it when it first came out (through a deal on this sight) and have bought each DLC as they have become available so it's cost me more than £50 overall in cash and points I think.
#18
hot but I hardly begrudge paying £29.99 to get it game preordered =] got it 2 days before the official release date according to them
#19
The DLC is a f**king rip off if bought on the psn
5 x £8 = £40
full game + 5 DLCs = £27

this is why i hate dlc

This is for those who haven't yet embraced the game. They make it cheaper so that those who haven't already bought it and the DLC by now will go out and buy it.
You shouldn't hate DLC you should hate the price. Most are great value for money. But inevitably some are not. DLC is great, it shows developers are willing to support a game post-release. Which until DLC was available widely, it was unheard of! I say it's a good thing. You obviously don't like paying for extra content, which is fair enough. Maybe prices should be dropped, but unless nobody pays for DLC, then the prices will stay the same.

yeah it is usually the price, and the fact you cant sell it on.

example, i bought bioshock for £7.50
Bioshock DLC - £8

half the time the dlcs are things like an extra golf club or something, its just milking the consumer

very good deal voted hot. but im not buying this. i am buying more games than i can ever hope to play. it needs to stop.

Thanks for this - Eldest had asked for expansion packs for chrimbo and was going to get him them this weekend.
Picked this up today and now he will get all of them and also get a couple of quid trade in for his original game.
Well happy!

I'm 50+ hours in and have barely touched the main quest. Dread to think how much more time I could spend if I had the expansion packs.

Would quite like to get the PC version and try some mods but not sure my laptop will do it justice.

Voted hot. Had a gander in town today, GAME, Gamestation and HMV all want 40 quid for it. Dixons dont have either. Waiting for it to dip slightly before I get :p

For anybody wondering whether this version of the game will work with your older saves from Fallout 3, i can confirm it does for the PS3. XBOX 360 i'm not so sure of.

Only problem are the long loading times and i've heard it being buggy in parts. But if you've played Fallout 3 before you'll know it's got a number of bugs alread.

Don't own it for 360, but my PS3 version sometimes went buggy when cars were exploding. And then slowed down to a crawl in the aftermath. Will probably get it for 360 on payday, as don't feel I want to play through again on PS3! I'd feel like I wasted 80+ hours!
Still one of the best games I've ever played, just the whole setting draws me in, and I want to immerse myself into the Fallout universe! Roll on New Vegas!

okay I gave in. Just bought a copy now. Can't wait to get into it.

Bought it on the 360. I had it on the PS3 on day of release and it was so pants I sold it the next day.

EDIT: I still hate this game. No sense of direction... way too much talking not enough action. Terrible aiming system.... WTF is VATS? It pauses the game, lets you choose where to aim, and hardly ever gets it right. So you try to free aim and I must have unloaded at least 8 bullets into this guy and he just won't die. GTAIV p*sses all over this game. So does Uncharted and Uncharted 2. Need to sell this copy now ASAP.

I see your point. It's not all action, it's the sense of isolation and solitude that sell this game. For those who like action, this is not really that type of game. If you are having trouble then may I suggest altering the difficulty level? It does make it easier, but no less fun. Especially if you are having difficulty at a certain part of the game!
If you like action and RPGs then maybe try Mass Effect if you haven't already, packed full of action, but sometimes there is some exploring to do, much like in any decent RPG.
