£5 FOR a literately 100 hours of game play .... ( well for me anyway with one character, explore everywhere , outpost side quests etc)

Just about the best game I have every played with 100's of hours of gameplay. At £50 it would be a bargain.

You don't happen to know if it's this price on 360 too? I'd rather have it on that since I that's what I originally had it on, before the disc died.

Heat added.

Absolutely agree with bonzobanana. Such a fantastic game and an unbelievable price. Have some heat 8)

Absolute bargain for £5. Love this game, although the bugs that lock up gameplay have been driving me mad! Currently doing the point lookout additional content and it gets unplayable at times.

Standard edition (not GOTY) pre-owned available online for a fiver. Is there much difference between GOTY and Standard edition ?

There are 5 additional expansions/addons included with the GOTY version. these (i believe) still cost a few quid each on XBL and PSN. Not actually played these extra features yet, but believe they will extend the game and experience by a good few hours.

To buy a single expansion pack costs more then the price of this entire game for PS3

£5 = insane price for 80 hours of pure entertainment

I know it's been around for ages but what do you get with GT5 prologue? I want to get GT5 but can't afford it...
#15
I've not played it to be honest, but i thought it was just a few tracks and a few cars to "wet" the appetite for the full game.
#16
That is weeks of gaming for £5. Heat.

Great find will pop in tomorrow see if i can pick one up cheers (_;)

Great price. Great Game. The dlc still costs over £20
#19
quite possibly my favourtie game of all time, spent near 150 hours on this bad boy, this price = 3p an hour, I paid full price plus all the DLC as it came out and I don't feel cheated, shame I can't same the same about New Vegas......
#20
Amazing price. I paid £20 for it new about 6 months ago and think that was a bargain. Shame about some of the bugs though, I had Point Lookout crash on me a few times.

I'd always buy the GOTY edition, even if it was just so I could use the Chinese Stealth Armour :D

HOTT!! been looking for the GOTY edition cheap for a while

Couldn't agree more, played about 5 hours of New Vegas and can't be bothered any more. This price is absolutely epic.

HOT!!!!!! Loved fallout 3 - I never got on with morrowind on pc or oblivion on the Xbox even though I knew there was a great game hidden in them, but with fallout it all seems to come together better. At this price its simply a must have game.
#24
best game i've played in a long time!! each individual expansion is still £7.99 on PSN, you get 5 of these on the GOTY edition along with the main game. PSN's a bit of a rip-off!

--update after seeing the xbox post.
my case AND disk are GOTY - so all is good here. :)

Got the std edition for a fiver a while back from CEX but haven't played it yet - might just whack it on this weekend after all your glowing reports of it here! Heat from me.

I already bought the normal version like a year ago from gamestation for this price. Would work out cheaper buying the game again (but this goty edition instead) if you wanted the dlc lol.
#29
I actually bought this myself yesterday even though I already have the normal edition but didn't get around to posting it on here. Just nipped into tesco too and they offer £5.50 trade for the standard edition so happy days there. Just to let 360 owners know, it's also £5 instore too and the standard edition is £3. And for those wondering how much this adds to your trophy list, well I platinumed the standard edition and had 100% completion, but when the added packs came out my completion dropped to 52%, so the added content of the goty edition adds a further 48% worth of trophies. Just a little heads up for the trophy hunters amongst you!

Does the DLC come on disc?, or is it a code you have to use? Just wondering if id actully get the DLC or just a used code.

Yeah all content is on disc. This isnt EA, the company that tries its best to screw you over buying a 2nd hand copy, or releasing a billion extra downloads for games like Tiger Woods literally the same day as the game is released, that really pees me off. They have every right to make download content but at least hive it a couple of months EA to let us believe you have taken extra time to create the added content, rather than release simple chargeable unlock keys for content that's already on the disc that we've already payed for. Crafty gits.

Just to say, you can find the on-disc dlc (as with any on-disc dlc) available to download online for free from various forums, from people who have simply copied the installed dlc from their hdd to a usb and uploaded them. Or even easier, you could loan the dlc disc from a friend or through a rental company.

Amazing price and super HOT, shame about the bugs!

A dumb question, but I recently loaded up the GOTY edition on PS3 and loaded my last saved game from the normal edition (just before you die whatever you do in the water purifying thing). A ton of new missions came up about all the new DLC content but I was still faced with the same choice of flipping the switch and saving the world (there was an option of having Fawkes flip the switch I think, which I chose -I don't remember that in the original game? - it's been ages since I played it). Anyway, the game ended and I couldn't play any more - are you supposed to ignore the original main quest and head out for the new ones?

Just carry on with the water purifier mission, ultimately it doesn't really matter who turns on the purifier but people will react better if you do it. You then get the ending movie followed by a black screen and you then wake up in the citadel free to do any missions you missed plus the DLC. I should add you need to install the Broken Steel add-on for this to happen!
