Fallout 3: GOTY PS3 £7.99 @ Gamestation (Instore)

Popped into my local store the other day, picked up this game. Was marked at 12.99 or in the £20 for 2 section, but scanned through at £7.99. Even the cashier was shocked how cheap it was. My 1st real deal

Great game, unfortunately its probably the buggiest game I've ever played, rendering it almost unplayable at times with constant freezing issues. However is was still good enough (just) for me to get past these issues and play through it twice.
Great price when you consider the cost of the added content.

Buggy as hell, yes, but nowhere near as bad as New Vegas or Oblivion :)

Spent 300+ hours on this and all dlc! Ignore the people moaning about bugs, I had a few crashes but apart from that still really enjoyed it! BUY BUY BUY

Is it the just the GOTY version thats buggy, because I noticed things seemed a little jerky when I 1st loaded it up (Had the standard edition before). But yeah ace game, couldn't recommend it enough! Very intelligent game

Never said they werent :)

RPGs are pretty much the only genre around that are worth paying the RRP for.

All games on the old Bethesda engine are buggy, as its a poorly made 6 year old engine.

There have been patches to help make the game more stable, but you will still of course encounter game breaking bugs (which arent really too important if you arent after trophies), and some rare crashes.

Amazing deal. So many hours of gameplay. As for the bug issues mentioned above, I never really experienced any bugs on the 360 GOTY version. Is this more or less confined to the PS3 version?

bugs or no bugs its a great game, the bugs (if you even notice any) wont detract from the overall experience. in most cases its a bit like moaning about a really good book because its got a couple of typos in, its kind of irrelevant. some people just get a kick out of bug spotting, its like a willy waving contest with them.
If you are moaning about bugs at 7.99 then you should be more concerned with the software error in your brain.

GOTY ed is buggy at startup as its installing all the DLC

Also I played through it a fortnight ago & only had 1 crash & that was most likely the firmwares fault (Using Rebug 3.55)

This is a bargain at £7.99 could easily put 100hours in, but i would recommend the PC version over this for the sake of the mods & how much that can add to the game

Best price by far - Other places sell it for around £15+ and that's pre-owned.

Although, it has been £7.99 at Gamestation quite a few months now, I remember buying it from there earlier this year.

Fantastic game and I also recommend it to every gamer out there!

Oblivion isn't buggy... only the Vampire thing is the isolated bug.

I loved oblivion and never had any real problems with it, the occasional freeze and thats all. I know there are supposed to be a lot of quest bugs, but i never really come accross them to be honest.

Could not agree more mate, love them all. Ovlivion has still yet to be beaten in my eyes though.

I also had the standard edition first and played without to many problems, Bought the GOTY edition though and as i said before, at times it was almost unplayable. Other times you could go a couple of hours without a freeze, but in general very unstable and had alot more problems than the SE .

Saying Oblivion isn't bug ridden is like saying Saturday night in Sunderland isnt full of infested sluts.

I still loved it, but if you play for extended periods the game slows down before crashing, always, which was the main problem for me. There were also plenty of AI related bugs and quest bugs I encountered, lost about an hours play time, nothing trivial.

Leaving aside bugs for a second, can anyone else confirm this?
