Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics are now available for purchase on Steam individually for £3.99 or in the Fallout Classics pack for £9.09, Bethesda Softworks announced. Note that all three games have Steam Cloud enabled for save games. Fallout 1 & Fallout 2 can be launched in either default or classic versions - default allows for high resolutions and Classic is the original, unmodified release. Fallout Tactics is unmodified - multiplayer works with direct connect.
While Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 can run on Windows 8, Fallout Tactics is not Windows 8 compatible

Unfortunately now Bethesda have the rights again this is about 70% more expensive than it was when last on sale. Good news that GOG gave it everybody free as a two fingers up to them when the rights were passed over :D

For £9 more i would stick with GOG and mods. The enhancements are also given free to people who bought the collection for £2 on Steam before Bethesda got the rights again. Just saying terrible on Bethesda's part for the price increase but probably cheapest out there now for these versions.

I would have bought them again on Steam aswell lol. Just don't want to support such a price increase. May take a look on Steam Trades and see if they are available cheaper.

Honestly, 1 + 2 are worth this price. Absolute must haves.

Having said that, I agree with Jay; not a good deal even with Steam Cloud/higher resolutions. Just remembered I have these on GOG, may have to reinstall :D

Got 1, 2 and Tactics (+ associated soundtracks) for free at GOG over Xmas. I have seen them plenty cheaper than this specific deal on different occasions. So, cannot vote as lukewarm. Why isn't there a Tepid button, MOD's?

Interesting to know...Thanks. I'd not heard of the Fallout series until I got 3. I've not got around to playing 1 or 2 or finishing New Vegas, which, after repeat visits, I'm still not engaging with following the 3 storyline and ambience.

You can still use the MODS with steam?

Great games, but not a great price

Wait for the Bethesda / Fallout day during the sales - you know it's coming - and this will get a proper level of discount :p
