It's the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead... and that's before things really get ugly. It's a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It's a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way. Welcome to Fallout: New Vegas for PC!

As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you'll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare "winner takes all" and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.

Fallout: New Vegas for PC features:

•Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands - from the small towns dotting the Mojave Wasteland to the bright lights of the New Vegas strip. See the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.

•Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles! A war is brewing between rival factions with consequences that will change the lives of all the inhabitants of New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with countless characters, creatures, allies, and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle.

•New Systems! Enjoy new additions to Fallout: New Vegas such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines directing your companions, a Reputation System that tracks the consequences of your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode to separate the meek from the mighty. Special melee combat moves have been added to bring new meaning to the phrase "up close and personal". Use V.A.T.S. to pause time in combat, target specific enemy body parts and queue up attacks, or get right to the action using the finely-tuned real-time combat mechanics.

•An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns! With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you'll have more than enough new and exciting ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland and the locals. In addition, Vault-Tec engineers have devised a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications you make in real time.

•Let it Ride! In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules, or the Wild Card - it's all in how you play the game.

Well that price is just silly. Thought it had sold well, can't believe it is being so heavily discounted.

THought I found a good deal for it on the consoles earlier, but this is really cheap!

Surely you mean, somebody else had found a good deal for it on the consoles earlier and somebody else had posted in that thread the PC version was cheap too.

No. I posted a deal for it on the consoles for £31.85 from Simply Games. Then I saw the other deal, went to deal, looked on the site, saw PC version. Hadn't even read the comments on the other deal.

You saw a newbie post that the pc version was 13 odd quid, and then you ran as fast as your little legs would carry you to post it. You didnt give the "real deal finder" any credit.

I didn't read that comment. You might not believe me but I didn't.

I would just like to say thanks and well done to HUKD member 'Doors' for noticing that the PC version was 13.99. I did not see your comment until after I posted this, so I apologize.

PC version all the way.. NV focuses more on shooting/aiming so the mouse is simlpy superior.

Also if you have a good PC you can make it look SO much nicer. And the framerates are so much higher.
#13
Ordered, thanks OP. And according to this it can be activated on Steam, double awesome.

Hold on, do we know that this retail DVD comes with keys in the format required for adding it into Steam? I think that other games have had different key formats in the retail chain and so can't be added to Steam. If this can be added to Steam then it's an even better deal.

According to what I can read, Fallout New Vegas uses steam for its DRM protection: http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=250254

So I think it has to activate in steam by default. This is such a good deal. Hope they honour it.

Amazing deal, the PC version is the best one as well and the specs aren't that high.

Was having to buy this twice (xbox 360 for my son and PC version for me) so have saved a bit! Great deal - thanks.
#22
Scorching hot price for a best-seller only a few weeks after it came out. Thanks for posting, nabbed it!
#23
Ordered, thanks.
#24
Great game with a LOT to do. Easily get 40 hours or more from this on your first play through, and lots of different ways to play so has plenty of replayability. Get it!
#25
that's an excellent price. Game registers on Steam and that downloads all the patches and updates automatically. After the initial patches the game runs really well for me.
#26
Great deal, great game! Unfortunately this is one of the buggiest games i've ever owned (on PC and even buggy on console!), to the point where I have had to stop playing it due to constant crash to desktops. There are hundreds of people in the same boat if you check the official forums...

Great price, very tempted, especially with Steam registration (It's still about £30 direct from Steam!) Think you can get cashback via Quidco/TCB too at around 3.5%

Yes, it is back in stock and needs to be unexpired. Ordered mine yesterday and it's already shipped, this really is an amazing deal.

Damn :(, I bought this for £27 before it was released.

I'd get the PC version as the console versions are reportedly very buggy.

PC version was patched the day after release and more are due shortly. Steam will do this all for you so PC users don't need to worry too much about bugs/glitches etc. I hear the console version isn't very stable yet.
#36
The PC version is far better due to the frequency of the patches, plus it has the modding tools which can be used to "fix" the game.
#37
ar$e, checked it at work & saw it in stock, just got back home & now it's out of stock, damn :(

mines arrived and I can confirm it installs in steam from the disk (so no big download) but all registered with steam, this was such a good deal. thanks again op
