Description:

Welcome to Vegas. New Vegas.
It’s the kind of town where you dig your own grave prior to being shot in the head and left for dead…and that’s before things really get ugly. It’s a town of dreamers and desperados being torn apart by warring factions vying for complete control of this desert oasis. It’s a place where the right kind of person with the right kind of weaponry can really make a name for themselves, and make more than an enemy or two along the way.
As you battle your way across the heat-blasted Mojave Wasteland, the colossal Hoover Dam, and the neon drenched Vegas Strip, you’ll be introduced to a colorful cast of characters, power-hungry factions, special weapons, mutated creatures and much more. Choose sides in the upcoming war or declare “winner takes all” and crown yourself the King of New Vegas in this follow-up to the 2008 videogame of the year, Fallout 3.
Enjoy your stay.

KEY FEATURES:
Feel the Heat in New Vegas! Not even nuclear fallout could slow the hustle of Sin City. Explore the vast expanses of the desert wastelands – from small desert towns to the New Vegas strip – and see the Great Southwest as could only be imagined in Fallout.
Feuding Factions, Colorful Characters and a Host of Hostiles! A war is brewing between rival factions that will change the lives of everyone in New Vegas. The choices you make will bring you into contact with friends and foes, and determine the final explosive outcome of this epic power struggle.
New Systems! Enjoy new additions such as a Companion Wheel that streamlines communication with companions, a Reputation System that tracks your actions, and the aptly titled Hardcore Mode. Plus, special melee moves and real-time combat mechanics give you new ways to fight.
An Arsenal of Shiny New Guns! With double the amount of weapons found in Fallout 3, you’ll have more than enough exciting, new ways to deal with the threats of the wasteland. In addition, a new weapons configuration system that lets you tinker with your toys and see the modifications in real time.
Let it Ride! In a huge, open world with unlimited options you can see the sights, choose sides, or go it alone. Peacemaker or Hard Case, House Rules or the Wild Card – it’s all in how you play the game.

Heat as it is the cheapest at the moment. Though hardly a "cracking price", it has been cheaper on a number of occasions in the past 2 months.

I found it too buggy to play in the end. I put about 30 into it probably, but got sick of having to restart the PS3 when the game froze. Fallout 3 is better in my opinion too.

Mmmm, good price but the GoTY will be out in November with all the DLC no-doubt. Imma just hang on till then - did the same with Oblivion and Fallout 3 and loved the DLCs but at 8 quid a pop for Fallout 3, might aswell just wait for the GoTY.

They should call any future rerelease something different because I don't know how any magazine could name Fallout Vegas it's GOTY.

I got platinum trophy for this and it was after 1.04 patch, unplayable in a lot of later stages, crashed possibly 75 times, denied quests endings because of glitches after doing all the work to keep everyone happy.

Fallout 3 crashed under 10 times and I spent twice as long exploring every location.

This game will NEVER be Game of the Year. Dissapointment of the Year maybe!

Meh, your opinion but fallout 3 was quite buggy and was simply amazing. If it gets one goty award, I guarantee you that a goty edition will be released with dlc. Otherwise, they will call it "complete edition" or some malarky.

Fallout 3 only crashed about 2-3 times for me through a full playthrough with all 5 dlcs so I'm not gonna mind, especially because I have about 9 saves that I overwrite sequentially to make sure even if I make a game-changing decision, I can go back (or play both parts of a decision quest).

Fallout 3 was amazing, which is why this is such a letdown. Thankfully i only borrowed it to see what it was like - as i'm STILL working through Fallout 3!

I may give it another chance once some kind of Complete Edition is released as you say, then maybe some of those strangely empty buildings will be used for some kind of mission/purpose. As it is, it's VERY buggy (even compared to Fallout 3) and feels unfinished/incomplete.

I loved fallout 3 for the first few days. Then it just got boring. Running around similar underground passages, similar terrain, occasionally finding a new town to explore, but mostly shooting the same people.

Fable II was a better game IMO.

I should point out that I know this is for NV. I gave up on that after about 20 hours for the same reasons I grew to dislike Fallout 3. You wander from one quest to tge next because that's what is in your Quest menu, even if you don't know why. Then you shoot some people, talk to a good guy then embark on another quest, where you MIGHT shoot some people.

Expired now showing £19.99 for PS3 and £17.99 for 360.

lol, your description is almost bang on the same as the reasons people who are not into computer games give for disliking games in general!?

Bought this back after previously completing it.

The bugs can be irritating (lots but the game is so huge and long lasting that they don't irritate as much as it sounds like they do - especially if you back it up regularly).

Some of the original problems I had (disappearing companions for example) have now been corrected (in this case they appear on your world map so you know where to go and get them from).

The game itself is fantastic though, so much depth, humour and exploring. Would really recommend it at this price.
