Everyone should just buy this game.

DLC:

http://store.steampowered.com/dlc/22380/

The Ultimate Edition is £5.09 atm as well but the DLC's for New Vegas were a bit of a mixed bag.

It really is. I often struggle to put into words how much I love this game.

Unless you're a hardcore completionist, I would say no.

I would go for the following really:

Main Game
Courier's Stash
Old World Blues

That would total £3.72 and there's enough there to keep anyone occupied for a long time to come.

Alternatively the Ultimate Edition has been on sale with 75% off before so you could just wait and see what the rest of the sale brings. I do have other gun packs on mine but those aren't available on Steam any more anyway and aren't included with the Ultimate Edition.

I've been contemplating Nether myself today but the reviews weren't good at all. Seems like a poor man's DayZ unfortunately.

New Vegas is a game that is worth making time for and the modding community for it is still great.

Yeah it is very cheap and so far I've only faltered once during this Steam sale when I bought both of the PayDay's over the weekend. :)

I invested a lot of hours in the PS3 Ultimate Edition and loved it but the lag the deeper you get into the game was horrible.

Does this run/ play better on a PC?

Generally yes, but you can get a lot of mods to fix problems with it anyway and make it more memory aware. If you play this on the PC then it's a good idea to use mods anyway.

The only problem I've found is that it was never made compatible with Steam cloud save. Sadly I found that one out the hard way. :{

Same for me. Just picked up The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Hitman: Absolution. Probably won't play either for a while, but couldn't say no to the prices :)

Yes you can but the best tip that I can give is to download and use this tool.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?

A lot of mods are now interdependent and that will emulate loading Skyrim with your mods in sequential order and tell you where (if at all) you're going wrong. The game doesn't do that and just quits out unfortunately.

Most of that has been achieved using this:

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30936/?

There is one extra realistic lighting addon that I can't remember the name of right now but I can check when I get home later. It's running at 1440p there but that was before I added the 2K texture pack so it actually looks slightly better than that now. :)

I decided to play this the other day....to be honest to my eyes , it is starting to look a tad dated , i guess that is because i have been playing new titles recently....

This is what it looks like vanilla so it's still decent if you don't want any of the hassle. I'd say it's still definitely worth modding though.

I don't know why but I never felt the same about this one as I did with Fallout 3. I found it harder to like it. It wasn't terrible and still a fun game but I much prefer FO3 personally

Fallout 3 has a deeper story but I prefer this one as a game. I've never played much of the old FO games but I believe this one stuck a lot more to the formula of those where as FO3 was more like a classic Bethesda title.

I'm tempted to get it again but I donno, it was the theme mostly, the big gambling feel to it, i.e vegas etc. Also the fact it was less mutants and more humans than anything.

I preferred the setting and feel of FO3 I guess.

Same. Somehow it felt forced and not the sprawling genius of FO3.
